  3. How about a late model Paystar?
  4. Your post from Scale Firehouse. In the 1970s and early 1980s the Connecticut DOT used these extended Travelalls to shuttle passengers from area airports to passenger train terminals and vise versa. I remember them to be quick roomy. You had to admire the drivers making those turns. Your model would be a nice basis for these.
  5. The AMT trailer is more like the one below. Pre 1980 style. Nice job nevertheless.
  6. Bitner made a nice Freightliner logger on this board.
  7. Of course that is going to the Italeri web site, right?
  8. Looking back on my old KFS catalogs, they did offer a long barrel and a short barrel. You have the short barrel. The eye passed almost directly over my home town in Connecticut. As a child I got use to flooding in the cellar (basement) from living on the Long Island Sound.
  9. Great build. I vaguely remember KFS did offer a mixer kit. Do they still offer it? What was the kit number?
  10. You need to take pictures of that outside at a truck stop or beside the Interstate. It would look realistic.
  11. Informatiomal update: source: Classic Refuse Trucks Some intriguing plastic model kits from the 1970s have recently come to my attention. Shown above is a 1/25 scale Ford C-series with a Gar Wood LP-725-9 packer body from AMT models. This kit is believed to have been in production, but nothing else is known about it at this time. Next up is a 1/25 scale Ford with the Gar Wood Load-Packer 900 series body. Reportedly, the box was printed in anticipation of the models release, which never happened. This may have been commissioned by Sargent Industries (then owner of Gar Wood) in order to promote their high-compaction refuse body. Sargent divested itself of Gar Wood in 1979, and sold the design rights to the LP-900 to Heil, which may explain why this model kit was suddenly cancelled.
  12. Dave Metzner, Will their be any happy surprises from Moebius for truck model fans as far as big rig announcements during the Chicago model show this October?
  13. The subject was rather obscure for North American truck fans although that Mercedes model was sold in the US and Canada and was used by several fleets. To my knowledge Volvo did not import any f12s to North America. The original 1/25th scale Revell "Trucks of the World" series were: 7407 - Mercedes Benz 1628s 7407 - Volvo F12 Globetrotter 7410 - Peterbilt 359 7413 - Kenworth K100 VIT
  14. You forgot the Revell Mercedes Benz 1628S "Trucks of the World" series. it is also 1/25th scale. Not an Italeri re-badge.
  15. I think the next new truck kit that should come from Italeri should be a modern North American style reefer trailer. Keep it simple so Italeri can build upon this platform for future subjects. From this platforms a flatbed trailer can be offered. then a grain trailer for example. From past history, Italeri takes at least three years from announcement to actual on the shelves for a new kit, so anything that will expedite this process is helpful. Also, I would like to see Italeri welcome feedback from North American modelers during the development of the project, just as Moebius models did with the Lonestar kit. I want them to avoid the disaster that happened with the American 48 foot reefer kit.
  16. Gunther has a new truck model survey going. Generally his surveys are for Revell of Germany.
  17. Belive me, I have so many kits, both Volvos included that I might not get to build them all.
  18. Closest I can think of is the New Ray 9900IX diecast.
  19. The AITM Superliner resin cab is a accurate representation of a earlier model Superliner. The AMT Mack R or Cruiseliner kits would have all you would need to make a spot on accurate model of a Superliner. The Italeri American Superliner is not actually a Superliner. The cab, hood, fire wall, frame, just to name a few items are not Mack. With work many modelers have brought that kit to Mack standard. Check out this model on the Italeri web site. http://www.italeri.com/NewsImgs/DOC_NEWS_000069.pdf
  20. The wheels are from RNK. They were the precursor to Clint Freeman Components (CFC). They also offered 5 hole wheels. Very rare. The hose clamps are from Detail Masters. I suspect Italeri will announce some new Freightliner kits. They are due for a new American truck kit.
  21. A model I built several years ago. All graphics were created by me with an Alps printer. I never completely finished it.
  22. Came across this Dutch supplier. Some nice container decals for the Italeri kits. scale:print
  23. A natural for the old Revell of Germany T600A
