  2. Wow, that is cool Up until I saw your thumb, I swore they were 1:1 parts you were showing.....or you have HUGE thumbs Very cool, missed this build in the mass of others, put your next large build in the "Big Boys" section will be easier to find

  6. I occasionally work in my office as well. Then there is the kid chauffeur and the responsibility of a big dog Friday night was my first fabrication session in a while. Oh well, better busy ....I will rest when dead
  7. Made a brass manual oil pump last night. Used by the copilot to add extra oil during a race. Located far left here in Jay Leno's type37 At some point all these parts get polished and painted and assembled into an actual finished vehicle...at some point
  8. Great Alfa kit Good to hear a positive e Bay resolution story Found some aftermarket on sale form HiroBoy in UK., couldn't find the decals, but I bet they are there somewhere http://www.hiroboy.com/124_Alfa_Romeo_155_V6_TI_Detailup_Set_Tamiya_PEMetal_partsResin_PreOrder--product--9471.html

  12. Hmm, weird I got my dancing frog in as a test
  13. Ah ha Noel you nailed it with the thread issue. I wound up reaming them all to the same size as the taps I have so it became a moot point, but yes metric threads could be an issue The screw that broke was right from the kit, so should have been fine, but much like a Pocher it seems not to be the case and one cannot force them I know the Mercedes was a great deal and the seller was happy to pass it along to someone who knew what they were in for and he was certainly in over his head. He couldn't take the engine apart and suggested soaking it in mineral spirits...I had it apart easily that night with just the right screwdriver and pressure. Will keep my eyes out for the ISO stuff, thanks for reading along and helping.
  14. Posting to find this again It is a great risk reward with these kits...they are time dissolvers as well. No shake and bake project. I cannot find your Bugatti, though if it anything like my Revival Type 35, you may have set it on fire You are a master of these for certain, Jurgen
  15. Cool project Beautiful lines on the car
  16. I am trailing along as well, another great build for you Sweet paint job, awesome car
  17. Whole weekend of staining soffit wood for the new house I did ZERO modelling all weekend. Was hoping to have this one done by end of April, that is looking questionable Will keep plugging along

  19. Thank you gentlemen, it is coming along bit by bit
  20. I think that comment qualifies as a "Pocher Beating" The Great Wall ...... ha ha ha Keep plugging away at it at your speed Mr Cato, you are doing just fine
  21. Here is the shifter finished and the brake lever complete Gas cap and brake lever Kit gas cap in place My gas cap with soldered wings Little refinement and some metal paint and all will blend. Not a bad weekend's work
  22. I was worried you were severely allergic to metal or had a bad reaction to some metal and grew a superfluous nipple. I have no problem with your opinion, definition of modelling and convictions, thought I may not share them all entirely. Not the place for debate, so guys don't jump on this
