I need some gas tank ideas
Michael F replied to junkyardjeff's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Jeff, i really love your tractor and i´m looking forward for the finished thing ? I made the fueltank for my Carsini wineries truck from PVC tube. Diameter is 16 millimeters or 0,629921 inches. I got it at a homeimprovement store, its a protective tube for power cables. Cutted it in length i needed and glued plastic sheet on both sides. Added a filler tube and retaining straps from styrene. Some sanding and painting - ready. -
Very cool Torino, my favorite NASCAR bodystyle. ?

I wanted to do this one for a long time, a fictional Carsini winery truck from the ´Columbo´ crime series. The Chevy cab and engine are from the amt kit and these great looking wheels are from scenes unlimited. I stole the chassis from the Revell Opel Blitz kit. Everything else is from the partsbox or scratchbuilt from Evergreen styrene and real wood.

Very cool Chebbies!! I´m a great Wendell Scott fan and the ´62 Impala is a must have, because of his only Nascar win. Like the six-lugs on Rex´ car, nice detail. I have some kits and a lot of decals to do both of them as well, uhh, some day. ?
