Just finished the Revell Foose Ford Pickup. Nice kit. The model went together without any problems. The body color is Tamiya Orange TS-12 and the interior is Testors Flat Light Aircraft Gray 1233.

Getting a little more work done on the Nova. I got the rear end to sit a little lower. Also, doing some work on the motor. Bill

Quick note. I have found that so far every edge has flash and needs to be cleaned up. Also, the parts fit is not very good. This is the second AMT kit that I have built that needs this attention. Nothing that can't be taken care of, just a little more work. With all of the build options, you can build a nice model. Bill

Nice looking work Allen. Bill

Hi Mike, Glad I can add some useful information. Bill

Starting with the cab. So far there has been a lot of flash to clean. The cab is made in five pieces. The fit has not been very good. The mating faces just sit together, so I have glued each face together separately using clamps. Bill

Hey Guys, Thanks for the input. This is a learning process for me. I love cars, but I don't know much about them. So I hope to learn as I move forward. Gene: For the paint, I looked at a lot pictures of early rails and to me it looked like most of the ones that i saw did not have a gloss paint job. I used a matt finish. I agree It looks too flat. Brad: I messed up on the exhausts. I glued the block and the cylinder heads together before I noticed that the exhaust has to be inserted before you glue the heads and block together. I am learning that I need to look forward when building. Hopefully, as I gain experience, I will get better at building. Also, when I do a build thread, I will add more pictures along the way. Again, thanks for the input and please continue to add your thoughts and suggestions. Now I am off to my next build. Thanks, Bill

Growing up in Tampa Florida, I had a hobby shop right by my house. It was "Hans Hobby Shop ". Lots of people thought it was named after the owner, but Hans was his dog. Bill -
I build in my garage. I use the same area to build models and scale R/C airplanes. Bill

Hey everyone. What are your 2016 building plans. My plans are to start building the custom show cars of the 1960's. Cars like the ones Ed Roth built. As a kid in the 60's, I did not have the skills or the money to buy them. Mowing yards did not support models and slot cars. Most of my money went to slot cars. Bill -

Not a lot left to do other than paint the body. I paint outside, so I am going to wait for warmer weather. I'm in Florida, so I like to have the temperature above 70 deg. Bill
