  1. Great work
  2. Hey Ray, I've got one of these going also. Although mine won't be anywhere as good as yours. I will be watching with great interest. Bill
  3. Hey Guys, Actually getting some work done during the week. I going to have a front dam. So the first thing to do is to add some styrene under the lip of the nose to give the dam something to back up to. I don't know a lot about the classes at Bonneville, but it appears that some of the Studebaker classes require bumpers, so I will be adding them to the nose. Bill
  4. Hi All, I've got the stance set. The wheels are not the ones that I am going to use. Bill
  5. Hi Casey, Thanks for the reply. I have been using a Fuji Finepix 1800S to take picture. It takes good pictures, but not the best closeups. I have a iphone 4S, but I will be getting a iphone 6 this month. I think I will see what type of pictures the Iphone 6 takes. Can you or anyone suggest a program (easy to use) to re-size pictures. Thanks, Bill
  6. Hi Guy, If you have seen any of my posts, the closeup pictures that I have been taking are not very good. I would like to get a camera that takes good closeup pictures. I have seen a lot of very good pictures from you all on this site and am hoping you guys can give me some suggestions. Thanks for the help. Bill
  7. Looking forward to your build. I love those salt flats racers. Bill
  8. Great looking work. I like the wipers. Bill
  9. Now it's lowered 3/16". That looks a lot better. Bill
  10. Ok, cut the suspension off and lowered it about 1/8". Looks better, but I will see if I can lower it some more. Bill
  11. Hey Guys, Had to go back to work after the holidays, so not a lot of changes this week. Right now I am working on the front end. The way it sits is way too high. Even after I adjusted the king pins as high up as I can it still sits too high. So I'm going to cut the suspension loose from the frame and remount it. Bill
  12. Hey Joe, I am planing to put a lot into the interior, so I plan to use clear. Most of the time I don't you the kit glass, too thick. Most of time I use clear plastic from the covers of note books.I used clear plastic on the 50 Ford pickup below. Bill
  13. Hi Scott, Thanks for the tutorial Bill
  14. Hi All, Does anyone know if anybody makes Bonneville Salt Flats type of decal numbers. Thanks, Bill
  15. Hi Bill, Thanks for the tip. I will try the bondo. I am building my Studebaker similar to the 2006 Purple Sage Trading Post Studebaker. Here is their link. http://www.purplesagetradingpost.com/. This is a great looking Studebaker. If this one turns out good, I plan to build one like the Purple Sage Studebaker. Bill
  16. Thanks for the information. It will help a lot. Bill
  17. Great looking project.
  18. If anyone has any questions or suggestions please let me know. I am making this up as I go. Right now I am shaving off everything, door handles, windsheid wipers, V8 emblems. I am going to do a lot of filling. What is a good filler. I have seen everything from white hobby putty to Bondo. Thanks, Bill
  19. Alright, I got the front end separated from the body. Now it's time to run to the hobby shop to get some styrene. Bill
  20. Hi Randy, That is fantastic work. What do you use for soldering. Bill
  21. Great work. I had a 1:1 just like that, same color. Cool.
  22. The scoop came from the AMT 66 Nova pro street. Bill
  23. OK, I have gotten the hood scoop mostly finished. Just needs a little more fitting and some putty. I will glue it on after I cut off the front end. Bill
  24. The windows fit pretty good. I taped the blue windows in to get a look. The only part that needs work is the angle at the front roof posts. You can see it best from the front view. Bill
  25. Hey All, Before I cut off the front end, I am going to make the hood scoop. Bill
