  1. Yea your right, the original show started a few years ago just down the street, behind the McDonalds on DPA.That place had a lot more room,as you said, but like all great times,it had to end,as they locked us out,and rebuilt the whole lot. Then someone said,to move across the street.Well that lot was very small, and couldn’t hold too many cars. The lot where the show is now located,is also pretty small, but at least there’s some place to go to hang out with other car guys, and gals.As a matter of fact, the lot was one of the original DPA hangouts from back in the early 80s,when there was a Channel hardware store.Ah the good ole days back then of cruising up and down Deer Park Ave for hours. There were cruising spots all up and down the Ave.You would hang out and cruise late into the night. As a matter of fact,Hot Rod,and Car Craft magazines had listed 231 DPA as one of Americas best cruising spots, back in the day..
  2. This song,Imo,is by far the best Stones song ever recorded.I mean,Give me Shelter is up on that list as well.Great choice there John.??
  3. Trippy,very trippy ?‍??‍??
  4. Yea that yellow Merc was a very nice..I really wanted that Hodaka. It was all original, and hardly ridden.
  5. Some nice rides came down to the pre-father’s day cruise night.I tried buying that really nice vintage Hodaka, but the guy wanted too much cash?.Oh well.
  6. Certainly anything by Jimi Hendrix,or did someone list him already?I like the Kiss song Parasite(Lady). There’s an old classic, live black and white video from 1975.U tube.
  7. Wow,certainly some interesting and some odd cars.??
  8. I’m a loss of words.?‍????.I will say, thoose are some pretty bizarre rides.
  9. Great looking Landys.Really like them all,but i’ve got to say this one is my favorite.I have never seen one of these body styles..A new Land/Range Rover shop just opened near my house about a year ago.I never realized how expen$i’ve some of these “great” trucks are going for..Thanks for sharing the pics.
  10. Yup,they had their own little exotic corner. They kind of snuck in the back door.?
  11. The whole set up is really strange.?‍♂️Just wish i could’ve spoken to the owner, but he was gone as quickly as he showed up.
  12. Very strange intake. We couldn’t find the owner to ask him about it.
  13. I know this is pretty old,but how about UFO,”Lights out”.(in London)And of course,Iron Maiden’s,”The Trooper.”Or practically anything else from Iron Maiden
  14. No problem,my pleasure.Yea it was a pretty good show.A little rain in the morning kept some cars away. And I have to say,I have no idea what the deal is with that red convertible(parked on the street with the number 16).I’ve never seen a set up like that.?
  15. Yea i sometimes go to Cape Tree, and the OBI.But for me,it’s just closer if i go to the Smithhaven mall Sunday show.I stopped by there today, but with the rain,it was of course, dead.I also attended the all Ford show, well set of all Ford, there were a few surprises.Good show, put on by The LI Mustang club.I’ll post some pics.
  16. I gotcha, yea,I have always hated the heat.No matter how old I’am?The best thing to probably do,is to go to shows(coffee,& cars) early in the morning.I mean that’s if u can get up really early on a Sunday.I don’t particularly like the shows with judging either. But they always have the best swap meets.I know there is an all Ford show tomorrow at Pt.Jeff Ford.I might attend.Take my CV P 71.When i called the guy to ask him if Ford police cars are allowed. He went nuts, and said he’s got a bunch of Ford PD cars tomorrow attending the show.Talk to you later sir.
  17. Nice looking car man,wow.
  18. Very nice build,wow.And w/o a doubt,the 70 Superbee is a mean looking car.That is a model,correct??
  19. Hey,John Wayne Gacy.?.And that orange pick up,looks like someone with a cleft palate/lip..Imo,cars nowadays have the most bizarre looking front ends and grilles, headlights, etc, and not in a good way.??You know the ones that have headlights that cost a couple of thousand bucks. For a stinking headlight?Jeeze.
  20. You know Bob,i was thinking,we probably already ran into each other at some point.I think you said, that besides occasionally going to Dpa on Sat night, you sometimes go to LINADS Tuesday night church show out in Patchouge.
  21. Did you say that you normally don’t go to any Sunday shows, can’t remember?Dpa is pretty cool, but it certainly isn’t how it use to be in its hey-day.I remember back in the late 80s-90s,Dpa was basically an illegal street drag- racing strip, and multi/parking lot car show.Street racing was going on all up and down Dpa,frustrating the Suffolk PD to the point where they were conducting “ road blocks”,for lack of a better word. They would check everything from a car’s reg and ins,to their exhaust being too loud,or to see if a cars window tint was too dark,& bla bla bla.Basically they were trying to make sure that street racing and just hanging out with your friends in a parking lot, watching the cars cruising by,and to check out the street racing, would end..And eventually Dpa’s racing days dried up,until it was just a few small groups hanging out with their imports.?.Actually the lot where the cruise night is now going on,use to be a HUGE hangout back in the day.God i feel old.?.In fact I remember bringing down my 69 Hem-orange Dart, and chilling out with my friends all night, munching on McDonalds, and Taco Bell..Of course I can’t do that any longer, since I have to get back home to the little lady.?Yea I really miss those days..Ah,oh well,?‍♂️the memories.?
