Well in honor and memory of the passing of actor Ryan O Neal,I watched one of the best high speed chase flicks, the 1978 movie,”The Driver”.(The Driver,(Ryan O Neal),steals cars for use as getaway vehicles in robberies around Los Angeles. He is known among criminals for his high skill driving, and his high price. And is notorious among the police, particularly for The Detective who is obsessed with capturing The Driver whom he calls "Cowboy") Also stars Bruce Dern as the LAPD detective.??So if you never saw it,check it out.

Madison Square Garden KISS 12/1/23 Show Last Night
NYLIBUD replied to mchook's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
Always wanted to see Kiss live, but never did.Looks like it was a wild night at MSG.An ex gf once bought her and I tickets to see them awhile back, but we split up before the concert.?Anyway,KISS has always been one of my favorite bands of all time. And I’m from busy, traffic congested Long Island, and I too hate driving in the city.It is definitely a challenge to say the least, but it could also be pretty fun.Idk,maybe cause i’m older now.Its every man for themselves driving in the 5 boroughs..And like Sinatra said,if you can make it in NY,u can make it anywhere.Yea,and that goes for driving as well.Glad u both had a great time.Did they play a lot of their old stuff, like Parasite Lady, which has gotta be my favorite classic Kiss song(Great live B/W video from 75)forgot what hall they were playing. And you gotta realize, and I know it sucks, but these boys are getting older now,but then again, look at the Stones. -
That is odd Rodent.Sorry you lost both your parents.

Say what?…Shoot, that little thing, ain’t no Gremlin.,after all he don’t eat nuffin after 12 midnight.?No,It’s a dam furbe or furbie,or how ever u spell it.I saw some of these “stupid little things” go for thousands ??,out there.I gotta do some research.I mean I know some Beenie baby’s can go for several thousands of dollars.?But the question I ask,is,why???

Fred’s got that gangster lean in his ride. And yea,I have seen some of those hilarious figures of Wilma and Betty, and the Scooby Doo gals.

Addicted to the dam Sci Fi channel?♂️?♂️
NYLIBUD replied to NYLIBUD's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
Yea but what’s good about Strange evidence is that they try like hell to discredit a lot of what’s shown on the people’s videos.Almost like they are saying,no there must be a logical explanation for what we are seeing. But every now and then, there is no scientific explanation.???I mean though i do not,nor ever will, believe in ghosts or aliens.??☠️ -
So I have been watching way too much tube lately..And now I'm fully addicted to the Sci Fi channel, specifically shows such as “Strange Evidence”,Engineering Catastrophes,Mystery’s of the Abandoned, and What on Earth..Anyone else watch these programs?I know a lot of it is just stupid trick of the eyes, video, and pictures showing things or events that can actually be explained, while some do remain a somewhat of mystery, causing some to scratch their heads a little,eg,Bigfoot sightings, shooting stars, and of course UFO sightings..The other three shows are pretty much real footage of things like war time places, religious places, abandoned prisons, hospitals even some ancient ruins. Then satellites catching weird things on Earth, all seen from space.Ok,interesting, not bad. Then there’s engineering screw ups.And yes there are often fatalities. With dams breaking, land slides, building collapsing, just what the title implies Earthquakes, bridges coming down,etc..Idk ????☠️?️And I always despised tv in recent years..?

Well Tom that would’ve been cool.I guess i would’ve seen a couple of your builds.Like i said i did make the show, hat ran into a snag, got there late, and as I said, didn’t even throw a car up on the table.First time i ever did that, since i started going to the show a long time ago,way before they held at the rec center. It was held all over at different halls years ago.But i did pick up some cool kits.Well there’s always the other show held the in March, what is it,the Replicon show?I know it’s a mix,but they have autos too.Hopefully i’ll make that show too. -

Hey thanks to all you guys.I really do appreciate it.Yea it’s just crazy how everything happened.I mean we were all in the dining room, which just happened to be right over the burner in our basement. If that thing blew,we would’ve been shot like a rocket into space.?☄️??♂️Just like that. Its strange, but I think my mother had something to do with it.She was probably looking down, and saying,oh no way, don’t you dare blow up my beautiful house, your father and I built over the years.Lol.Well again thank you all.??Always said how great the people are that use this website. -
Ok so to understand what I’m writing about, you have to know that I currently am caring for my 85 yo father, with the onset of Dementia. My mother died in 2015,at which point I moved in with my father to care for him.Well Sat night I had my entire family over for dinner, myself, sister, her kids,my father. My brother his wife and son.We were all eating dinner.Shortly after my nephews and nieces wanted to go in the basement to hang out. That’s when my nephew came up to tell me the pilot light flame on the gas burner was pouring out of the bottom, and burning the front of it.I went down to see,and decided to immediately shut the heat off,and called our gas co to come and look at it.The guy came yesterday(I wrote this at around 2-3AM this morning)Anyway, the repair guy said that the burner, which happens to be around 50 years old,I guess my folks got their moneys worth. He explained that it was completely carbonized, from years and years of soot, not allowing the pilot flame to go out up through the pipe...The guy said that we were all lucky the house didn’t blow up,or that my family, and I didn’t suffer from any Co2 exposure. We also had no working smoke,or Co2 detectors..Anyway,I really blame myself, becuse I should’ve been on top of all that, especially with my father’s health declining..So I’m counting my blessing that I didn’t kill my entire family.?♂️??.Everyone out there should make sure their heating systems are in good working condition, and to install smoke and Co2 detectors if you don’t have them.Ok that’s all, sheesh. Thanks
