Every time you open a bottle of paint or glue together an assembly, a cat knocks it to the floor. Yes,this happened to me all the time with four cats bouncing around..However it was really my one jet black cat, named Cole, that would not only knocks stuff onto the floor, cause i guess it was in his way.?But he was also stealing important parts right off my bench.Somehow he knew what was important to me.And leave everything else. They are all gone now.??Anyway,it was hell on earth.??Meow guys.?

Sorry Ace,just messing with you sir..

Great start.I have that same kit.I don’t normally build motorcycles, but this kit spoke to me,it reminded me of my own Ninja RR.Yours looks a lot nicer.I laid mine down shortly after i bought it.Hung onto it,until it was basically stripped for its parts by some friends.?♂️?Whatever.But really excellent job choosing that color, and laying those decals on.I was just drawn into Kawasaki bikes,I think for the attraction i have to Lime Green,or (Kawasaki),Ninja green, whatever you wanna call it.?♂️?

I call this my Ferrari F40 barn find. Are you kidding me?Picked this gem up at a new vintage toy store. The owner said he bought it from some guy who he assumes never dusted his diecast collection. ?And no I didn’t handle it.It will be washed in hot water and cleaned with an air gun, then placed on my shelf with my other 5 F40s.I Love these cars..Has to be my all time favorite Exotic, not just a Ferrari, but exotic.I saw one at a car show once awhile ago.It was a bit tight, being 6’2”.The car had no miles on it.Maybe about 13K.The guy said he did race the car around some track, can’t recall.Anyway, that dust is nasty.

Yea,me too, when I was younger.Well that ain’t bad if he’s inside.I just remember meeting a friend of mine down at his MTA,job in a yard in Brooklyn,if I remember right. He was usually outside most days,no bad weather.Thats when he would work inside.I remember though that there were trains flying by.Well I mean they were a good distant away. And dam they can move..But you gotta just be extra careful I guess.Well it’s kind of like NYC construction jobs.?

Omg,thats funny. That actually happened to me just the other day.?

Yea see there ya go.Did anyone else suggest trying very hard to sharing our hobby with our wives?Thats what its all about. And hey, there’s hobbies i have that she’s never shared with me.And she has hobbies that I do not share with her.I mean I like cars,& fishing?,& she likes clothes shopping. So there you go.?Hey hang onto that gal sir.I think most of us know how difficult it is to find a gal like that.?♂️?.Isn't there a few woman on this site?If so,i wonder how they feel about things.?

Wow,i seriously hope your son makes a really good living for himself and his family.Cause that has got to be one of the “toughest” jobs i can think of.Outside, freezing in the winter, boiling in the summer.Trains flying by,praying there not on the wrong line.I’ve been at that yard,it’s a pretty chaotic rough place to have to work in.Your kid deserves a medal,or a month off with pay.?I mean almost every part of a train is heavy duty.

I think i’m reaching now,but you have to build ALL your models with one hand tied behind your back. That would suck.Sorry if someone said that already.???.

You can only spend 5 mins a day working on a model,or checking out this forum.?Oh and no tv allowed.

That’s why you’ve got to have a separate bank account from the little lady.

Buick Invicta via The French Connection
NYLIBUD replied to 1972coronet's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
Ah see now you got me started.?Gotta be one of the BEST movies of all time. And my God if i had a nickel for every time i watched that chase,id be rich. And it just always gets better.Yea there was good old stunt driver,Mr.Wild Bill Hickman at the wheel.Gene Hackman did some of the driving too though, gotta give him credit..It got 5 Oscars. Not as many as the God father sagas, but that ain’t bad..And Ace,that’s like saying you never saw Godfather 1,&2.?♂️?♂️??.Yea,try to catch it,Imo,the second one fell a little short.Watch the 7Ups,It’s much better than the sequel.Sorry,I’m rambling.? -
Not only must you read all the instructions, you have to memorize them too.?And after you have to take a 100 multiple choice questions exam.

Buick Invicta via The French Connection
NYLIBUD replied to 1972coronet's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
I have to say that The French Connection is one of my favorite books, and films.Since I was always a huge fan of Roy Scheider, ever since seeing him in (The 7Ups).And yea,of course it was absolutely ridiculous that they completely tore down the Lincoln, and put it all back together so quickly.I mean they even drained the cars fluids. We are forced to kinda look the other way, because it was such a great film. After all,it Got best picture. But these photos are pretty cool. Thanks for the info.?And anyway,IMO,the real “star” car has to be the 71 LeMans.lol..It’s weird,I always thought i knew everything about that famous chase scene, since I’ve watched it a million times. But the top picture is actually a real accident that happened during the filming of the chase, because a man was driving to work, and accidentally somehow drove onto the set,and happened to collide with the Lemans.After-all,the producers never got permission or the permits to film the chase, which was filmed under the EL in Brooklyn. No one was really injured,so they left it in the movie.Hmm?Anyway, stunt man,Bill Hickman(Bullitt,7Ups) did most of the driving. -

No kit bashing of ANY kind!?And you are not allowed to have any extra parts left over, upon finishing.?
-
There’s no longer any quality model glue, and all you can use is Elmers.?Yikes!!

Yea,station wagons are great,I don’t care what year,or make, always liked them,I grew up in the back of my parents,72 AMC Ambassador wagon, with a 390, faux wood,it was like a two tone brown sort of..Remember driving to Fl a million times.Stopping at South of the Border.Getting a ton of fireworks..Id love to find one of there old original South of the Border bumper stickers.Theres a ton of U tube videos on the Roadmaster.U have to love the swing away steering column to make it easier to climb into it.?Cheers to him.

Hey it sucks,?♂️I can’t afford 95% of the cars that were auctioned off at BJ.?Who cares,i mean I don't give a sh#%.Just think it’s cool seeing some pretty cool cars. And it’s weird,I actually forgot, but they went on till about 10 mins ago.A ton of cheap Sunday rides, some real nice too..Hmm ?..And I just gotta say that maybe the baddest car that crossed the auction block, was a Jade black 69 Big block Boss 429 Mustang.????.And I’m a Mopar guy.Just a really mean looking car.Think it went for around $550K.
