  1. Well you heard a million times,Mopar,or no car.But I do like mostly all cars. Its just that Mopars had a special place.for meThey were out there, and powerful, fast cars...Not to mention them being complete head turners, even back in the 60s-70s..Mopar used the wildest colors, logos, and decals on their cars. The Road Runner for one.The car line workers,or whom ever was involved in building these icons of automobiles, must of had a great time.Young engineers, striving for more HP,and to distract the other guys on the road.My favorite Mopar,is 1970 Road Runner, and the GTX.I just love Mopars.I mean come on,a bench seat with a pistol grip shifter...You can't get better than that Chargers,Darts,Cudas,Superbirds,Daytonas ,Dusters,Demons,Charger 500,or any charger. You got to love them all..Ah but spring is right around the corner. Can't wait to see them all on cruise nights..Actually on Long Island,NY,there are a group of loyal guys, who want to build another drag track back on LI..."Long Island Needs A Drag Strip"
  2. Hey Octane,I couldn't of said it better myself. Thanks for all the advice guys.Think young, act young,etc....But Jeeze I still can't believe it's been that long since I graduated from H.S.Actually this June with be 31 years.Bla.?Arrrgggg
  3. Actually,for me,the worst scale,is by far 1/20th.Lindberg used to do that.There are hardly,if any,parts for those cars,Eg,engines,tires,wheels,etc...However,I can't tell much of a difference between 1/24th,and 1/25th scale models.But that's just me.
  4. I got invited last year, but it still a little bit strange.Arrrgggg.Ah,What are ya going do?
  5. I was invited to my 30th H.S reunion.Man I graduated in 86,it doesn't feel like 30 years ago.Wow Hmmmm...??
  6. Here's a strange movie.I never watched the whole thing,I really only watch the sort of strange car chase,involving,I believe a 72-73 Mustang 351 Mach 1,and the other car was,I think,was a black four door oIdsmobuick.POS!!The chase is cool,but a bit weird.Also,worth mentioning,if I haven't yet,was Dabney Coleman in Short Time.Another crazy chase
  7. Styrene, that's great.I remember that chase.A Hilarious Japanese couple hanging on for dear life, while Chevy Chass drives..Then it's perfect,as they wave the flag,at the end. They turned out to love the car chase..bang bang ..Kojack.???
  8. Thanks guys.It was the different lighting too..Actually they are just taken on my dresser.
  9. HO scale Circa Queens NY during the 70s.My old neighborhood.I built these dioramas a few years ago.
  10. How about the race scene in the movie Against all Odds? The race is between Jeff Bridge's red Porsche 911 turbo up against James Woods in his black Ferrari,308.The scene is pretty crazy, and it's one hell of a good race.
  11. Oh,I almost forgot the classic,"Duel".Which just happens to be Steven Spielberg's first directorial debut.A Giant Satan Gas truck chases Dennis Weaver's really cool orange Valiant//Dart..all over the south west, trying to kill him,,,in case you never saw it.Definitely watch it.Its actually humorous to see how a young Spielberg, try's so hard to make it so dramatic, and this sit at the edge of your seat, great movie. But actually it is a cool movie, but Really its just a guys movie)
  12. Wow,the car looks absolutely incredible.I really like the color.A+++ for this car.The detailing is great inside and out. Thanks for the sharing your pics.
  13. Nice car so far.
  14. Hey Madhorseman,I totally agree with u.To Live and Die in LA was not only a really good flick,it had one of the best car/crash/chase scenes in movie history. All to capture a big time LA counterfeiter, played by Willem DaFoe.Actually if you watch the chase scene enough times, you can see that some of the cars were on trailers, weaving in and out of traffic, while being filmed..But that's ok,it still was still a great car chase...Do yourself a favor, if you haven't seen it yet,go watch the movie..It came out in 85,so it's slightly dated. But really action packed.Three stars for me.?.I also agree with you horseman about the chase scene in the movie FX,especially when he was driving through the meat packing area.Yet another must see movie.
  15. Ha ha ha,??????Hey Mark,you said it.I can't stand that little green pompous lizard.(reptile).
  16. Oh the list is long, but for now,I would say all,so called "reality"shows. They are extremely annoying. You can't get away from them,if you are trying to watch tv.Another thing that annoys me,are the constant car commercials. Are you kidding me?Every time I put the tv on,boom there's another stupid car commercial.."You can save on this,or save on that.No money down".Bla bla...Also, the commercials where they say"I need cash now"And most of all,the commercials by a certain car,and home insurance company, that starts with a G....And whose spokes person just happens to be a certain green reptile, from across the pond....Im sure you know who I'am talking about...NO MORE!!!????Please.?
  17. Looking real good dude.I gotta tell ya,I love the headers.Ive been having trouble making a set that would be exhausted put just behind the front wheels.Exactly like yours.Any tips?
  18. Dodge, you are correct. And I agree,Hickman was a movie icon. The only problem is,that he was sort of a behind the scenes guy.Even if he played a small roll.In fact I believe he didn't even get listed as a character,or even the stuntman/driver in Bullit. But then again, have you ever noticed in older movies, they never listed every person in the making of the film? Not like today, where they list everyone in the credits, from the star of the movie,to the director, all the way down to the caterers.I guess now, everyone wants to see their names up on the big screen.?
  19. Dodge driver, you are absolutely right,Bill Hickman was in fact one of the stunt drivers in the French Connection. And you are right,he played a role in the movie as well.He played a Federal agent named Bill Mulderig, who eventually gets shot and killed by Gene Hackman's character,Popeye Doyle.I also read that for the car chase scene,Hickman told a camera man to get in the back seat of the Pontiac, role the film, and hang on.Whats amazing is that the chase under the L train, was shot in real time,at real speed, with no permits,or stunt coordination with local police,or people driving, and walking around at the time of the chase. However he did slam into another stunt drivers car, which was left in the film...That just proves how good of a stunt driver he was.I mean his resume includes Bullit,The French Connection, and The 7 Ups,among others..Too bad he died of cancer in 1986,at such a young age.RIP Bill Hickman, the greatest stunt driver/and coordinator of all time.?
  20. Yea,the 7UPs chase is one hell of a car chase.I heard Roy Scheider did some of his own stunt driving,in that film.As well as Gene Hackman,in The French Connection. In that chase,I read somewhere, that the camera man just sat in the back seat, and just started filming,as the car drove under the L train...And thanks for reminding me,I forgot all about The Gumball Rally..Great car chase scenes, not to mention, the movie was hilarious."The first rule of Italian driving, what is behind me,is not important"?Also, the chase in Bullit, was the first time they used still cameras inside the cars.Another epic car chase..Oh and sorry, but I could never get into any of the Furious movies.
  21. Oops sorry, didn't realize it was an old posting.
  22. Well the first one would have to be Bullit. Then there was the French Connection, the 7/Ups,and The Driver, staring Ryan O'Neal. There was another great movie,To Live and Die in LA,The Blues Brothers. And of course Smokey and the Bandit.
  23. RIP Mary☹️
  24. Hey thanks guys.Cool ideas.I agree,The Godfather movies,1,and 2 are perfect for a snow day..And as far as westerns.Im not really a big fan of old westerns. But I did catch the 2004 edition of the Alamo, with Billy Bob Thorton, the other night..Now that's a great movie..By far the best Alamo movie ever, including the old one with John Wayne....But I still think the Shinning is the # 1 snowed in movie. And for you guys up in Canada,I realize 10 inches isn't really a lot compared to what you guys get.But here on Long Island,10 inches shuts down everything. Thanks fellas.
