  1. Only because I haven't searched too hard.
  2. He's following the practices of Tammany Hall politicians dating back to 1789, "What's mine is mine; what's yours is mine.".............................he's a crook.
  3. The problem with clouds is that they dissipate eventually. Trust in nothing that doesn't have a physical presence.
  4. Please satisfy my curiosity. Why would someone spend $50+ for the Jo-Han kit, or even twenty bucks for the Revell kits, just to get the beacon and/or siren when suitable resin parts are available for a reasonable price? I'm basing this question on the realistic possibility that someone needing those parts might have absolutely no interest in the kits themselves. Sure, you can sell or trade the kits minus those parts; but, that can be a PITA. Using the Jo-Han kit as an example, if someone was looking for that kit specifically to build a 60's-era patrol car, he probably would pass on buying/trading for it just because it is missing those parts. Obtaining the kit would still mean he'd have to find and buy a replacement siren and beacon. Not every modeler is a member, or even visits, forums such as this or is aware of aftermarket companies which make these parts.
  5. Wait until the latter part of the year and watch eBay. That's probably the time that the first big orders placed after last year's announcement will be received. When you start seeing Modelhaus kits parted out like someone was running a resin chop shop with auction only/no buy now option, you'll get your evidence.
  6. I receive four cents royalty per emoticon used in posts throughout the known universe. I'm planning on taking the dough, buying mid-Ohio and moving it east.
  7. Hey Bill! Clear some space in yer inbox!
  8. Harry already mentioned politicians two posts up.
  9. That's what one sees on the subway here on a good day.
  10. "The Adventures of Superman" airs on MeTV Saturdays at 6 P.M. EST/5 CST followed by Batman.
  11. I'm with you on that. Disgraziata.
  12. You could have used Micro-Sol to soften it and lifted it off with tweezers or a Q-Tip.
  13. I didn't include him, and others, who were radio actors, models for Fleischer Studios or appeared as Superman at the 1940 World's Fair.
  14. Three actors appearing on film and/or television: Kirk Alyn, George Reeves and Christopher Reeves.
  15. Noel Neill, the first actress to portray "Superman" heroine Lois Lane onscreen, died Sunday in her Tucson home.
  16. I'll agree with you as far as U.S. equipment is concerned. I doubt that kit manufacturers seek licensing rights for Axis equipment from companies still in business today.
  17. Most of the time, the issue of licensing rights for military equipment (especially WW II- era vehicles) isn't required. There are exceptions like the Oshkosh M1070 HET and HEMMT series of vehicles. Oshkosh had **** fit when I contacted them about drawings for the M1070A1 hood so I could make a master for casting.
  18. I believe that he's getting fitted for an orange jumpsuit at What an interesting coincidence that he's under investigation regarding police corruption. That's what caused William O'Dwyer to resign as mayor in 1950.
  19. NYPD has essentially stopped responding to what are called "Quality of Life" crimes. Heck, urinating in public isn't a ticketable offense here anymore. I wouldn't worry about them responding to a report of drunks getting soaked by a pot of water.dumped out of a window. A stoop is private property and they are guilty of trespassing.
  20. It keeps one in shape for bar league softball. Besides, hipsters are the real world equivalent of the Walking Dead when they're sober. It's like playing Whack-A-Mole.
  21. Bill, "hipster" and "humanity" are mutually exclusive.
  22. Most people here are apartment dwellers and don't normally keep garden hoses handy. A large pot of water dumped from the window or, better yet, going downstairs with a 34 oz. Louisville Slugger slung over your shoulder works just as well. After batting practice, you can clean up the mess with whoever wasn't fast enough to dodge your swings.
  23. You must've lived on a quiet block growing up. Didn't you set off fireworks when you were a kid? We'd get ours from the wiseguys in the neighborhood as soon as summer vacation started and spend the next two and a half weeks leading up to July 4th blowing them up. We'd be shooting bottle rockets down the street, chucking cherry bombs, ashcans, M-80s and blockbusters into the East River and down sewer drains. Even the old-timers got into it; so, nobody complained about the noise. Beats a bunch of drunk hipsters vomiting on your stoop at four in the morning.
  24. I found 106 listings using "model car junkyard", 861 using "junkyard parts, 118 using "vintage model car junkyard" and 2,658 using "model car parts" under "Models & Kits".
