  1. That would depend on the neighborhood.
  2. That reminds me of the old Wendy's "Soviet Fashion Show" ad https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TFaIcx0WkOY
  3. Tan is the perfect color to enhance the appearance of injection molded door panels and other plastic flooflah found in today's automotive wonders. This soothing hue disguises the chinziness of interior appointments and deflects driver and passenger attention from the distinctive, hollow "THOOMP" heard when passing through a minor pothole. A red interior will only make you realize that you're really pissed off for getting suckered by the dealer's hard sell. Corinthian Leather, anyone?
  4. A fearsome parking lot pirate, he is.
  5. In the case of black, it's part of subliminal messaging to consumers. Black, and other dark colors, are marketed to impart a more aggressive appearance to all kinds of products, especially cars. Black gives the impression that the car is badass and should be taken seriously, just like the driver. Remember that when toilet plunger-shaped Montgomery pulls up next to you in this he means business.
  6. "Any customer can have a car painted any colour that he wants so long as it is black." Henry Ford
  7. Well, I was going to buy you a round. Unfortunately, you being a sheriff, you're prohibited from accepting gratuities. You can thank Frank Serpico for that.
  8. You should get paid by the word; then, you can buy a round for the house.
  9. Not unexpected. Not good for U.S. autoworkers. Ford had also announced its plans to move south.
  10. It's indicated on the sheet that this set is for AMT 1/25 Scale Kits. If this set were meant to be used on kits from another manufacturer, it would say so like here.
  11. You're a pro's pro, Harry. You posted over 3,400 comments since Jan. 1st.
  12. That's what happens when you have 700 cable channels and there's nothing to watch.
  13. That's the best time, no distractions.
  14. Get the PE ends, glue (with CA, of course) them onto .010" styrene sheet and carefully trim. You can use small drill bits, like a miniature round file, to clean up the open end.The styrene sheet will give it added thickness and impart a more realistic 3 dimensional appearance. Other than this, you're out o'luck. Before you say, "Gee, that's a lot of work for something that small", I primarily build 1/35 armor and I've scratchbuilt things much smaller than 1/24-1/25 battery cable ends, using styrene, PE frets and actually carving items out of round, square and flat styrene stock.. Just take your time and you'll be surprised at the results.
  15. Those watches would have made great prizes for contest winners if there were any contests here.
  16. We'll send it out to get gold chromed. No top coat required. Stands up to repeated handling. Guaranteed not to turn green. If that doesn't do anything for you, you want my stainless steel, stem wound, 17 jewel movement, anti-magnetic, 1971 Caravelle by Bulova Men's wristwatch with the patented Bulova Signed Flex Band ®, suggested retail price $15.99? It gives you the correct time twice daily at 4:13.
  17. How about an injection molded, Alclad coated one?
  18. I have two mint first issue (GC 300:149) Jo-Han Chrysler Turbine Car kits. One will stay that way. The other will receive the Bill Geary treatment. It's too nice of a kit not to build.
  19. Yeah, but, your breath won't reek of shredded cuttlefish snacks or stale beer. DEAL!
  20. You probably don't patronize the right establishments. California doesn't count as civilization. Governor Blotter Acid banned everything there. Chewing a sprig of fresh parsley works in a pinch.
  21. This is the first time that I was stunned by a response. You mean to tell me that you never heard of C. Howard's Violet candies???? They've been used to mask smoker's breath, booze breath, coffee (pronounced "cawfee" here), garlic breath and bad breath in general for years. Violets, in candy or gum form, is the last thing in your mouth after a liquid lunch and before you stagger back to work. No self-respecting bar fiend would not have a pack handy at all times. They're found in almost every candy store, newspaper stand and smoke shop in these here United States of A!!!!!! Oh.....you live in Oregon.............never mind.............
  22. There's a place called Jackson Hole here in NYC. It makes some of the best chili I've ever had. You can have mild all the way to thermonuclear. I agree with you about being able to actually enjoy what you're eating. There's nothing enjoyable about eating what tastes like you're shovelling spoonfuls of powdered CN agent in your mouth. The first time I ate at a particular Indian restaurant, I ordered Chicken Vindaloo. After the waiter brought the food, he stood around holding a large carafe of ice water. I thought that was odd until I started eating.
  23. That's when these come in handy
  24. Probably the same place I get this It's great with an ice cold beer.
  25. Definitely a great method, Rich. There are some cool colors in that line which make excellent window tints.
