    Question for anyone who's built one of these things before: Is there any reason why I can't attach the front and rear panels to the body before paint and before installing the chassis/interior? I don't see anything that would cause interference, but I don't want to do it and then find an assembly problem later.

    Looking excellent. It's hard to believe this is your first shot at polishing. I've done it a half dozen times and that looks better than any of my attempts.

    I can relate to that. And a side effect is that it may renew your passion for car models in the process. Not to mention learning a TON of valuable techniques that you may not pick up doing cars. Looking forward to seeing your progress.

    That's a pretty convincing argument right there! Anybody have any idea what a "gold leaf bond" or verniz mordente substitute would be called here in the states?

    Got one of these in the mail today. I'm not really a Matador fan, but I love the iconic paint scheme.

    I'm kinda getting tired of hitting road blocks with my model building skills. I've got three main projects going right now and I'm stuck on one, about to be stuck on another and really hoping I don't get stuck on the third. I hate to accept sloppy work, but I'm starting to think maybe I just need to go for it and hope for the best. Learn by experience. But I REALLY want my work to start looking cleaner.

    Very cool indeed! Does that say 1/32 scale? I need to check out some of the bigger scale stuff. Almost everything I've got is 1/48.

    Yeah, I noticed after I got it home that it's got engraved panel lines. Nice! Great kit for the money.

    Thanks Kevin. It's been on my list for a couple of years now. Just waiting for the right price. Got it still sealed with about an inch of 30 year old dust on it!
