  1. Don't know if these have been posted yet or not, but here are a couple of DIY spray booths. I'm seriously thinking about building one of these things. http://vent-works.com/blogs/the-ventilation-blog/15945741-diy-hobby-spray-booth http://model-railroad-hobbyist.com/node/808
  2. I picked up one of these a while back myself. Looks pretty cool.
  3. Looks great! Don't know how you can get results like that in 1/72 scale. Nice work.
  4. '77 Pontiac Firebird. White with a 3/4 black vinyl top. Absolutely LOVED that car. Right up until the moment when some idiot rear-ended it.
  5. Beautiful Mustang! I have wanted one of those since they first came out. Wasn't 1986 the first year for fuel injection in those?
  6. Thanks guys! Gonna pick up some food coloring this weekend and practice shooting fine lines with the A/B before I pre-shade the panel lines.
  7. Looks great! I love the chrome flaking on the rear view mirror. Very realistic. And is that real cobweb?
  8. I finally got this bird in primer! It's only been a little over a month... It hasn't been sitting idle the whole time though. Took me a while (and a few tries) to figure out what to do about those panel lines around the cowl. I ended up using stretched sprue for the lines in hard-to-reach places and scribing the rest. They all came out better than I expected, but I think they'll continue to improve as I get more practice. Once that was done, I shot it with Mr. Surfacer 1500 mixed 50/50 with leveling thinner. Next step: pre-shade the panel lines. I may start practicing shooting fine lines on scrap tonight .
  9. Great looking build. I've always been curious about this kit.
  10. Kevin, what A/B do you use? Just curious.
  11. Cool. Glad to hear another good review of it. I've got an Aztek that I've used for a long time, but there are a few things about it that I don't like. It's kinda fragile (plastic parts) and you can't buy replacement parts. So I'm hoping I like this (and the 105 that's coming) as replacements.
  12. Post-man just dropped this off: Thought I'd give a single-action ab a shot for something different. Seems to be built very well. I just won a Badger 105 (double action, gravity feed) on ebay too (for more detailed work).
  13. I'm not a rat-rod fan, but wow! Your workmanship is fantastic! That first picture could almost pass as a 1:1 car.
  14. Same problem here. In fact, about half my kits are started.
  15. Anybody know what bottle adaptor I would need to airbrush Alclad II straight from the bottle? Or is that not a good idea anyway?
  16. Mr. Surfacer 1500. Goes on VERY smooth and in nice thin coats so it doesn't hide any detail. Just make sure you get it thinned enough or it will clog up your airbrush.
  17. That look great! The wash just makes it. This is a really cool project. Hope the parts you need show up so you can finish it.
  18. Super-nice build. That engine is just killer.
  19. Beautiful. Your weathering skills are excellent.
  20. Anybody else I should be thinking about checking out?
  21. I like that I can find the Revogram stuff cheap, but I'm thinking about stepping it up a bit for the next purchase. Might start looking for something from Eduard or Hasegawa. Just to see what the fuss is all about.
