  1. Hi, Those wheels do indeed look dark blue.
  2. Hi, Very very nice! I can see this becoming an HRM trans kit. Everything you've done is hot, those wheels are killer!
  3. Hi Trevor, excellent idea, many thanks!
  4. Hi Mark, Oh dayam, I see now, thank you. Some of my rather large PE got screwed up (by me of course) and I used the body of a pen to some what fix it. It worked well in conjunction with my thumbs.
  5. Hi, Ooooo nice! Yes some of the bigger sellers on eBay are still saying pre order. At any rate congrats, that kit looks very very cool.
  6. Hi Mike, That's actually a wise move. Although I would caution depending on MCM for long term photo hosting as you never know what can happen to the Big Kahuna. I mean the mag seems on and off so the site may or may not follow suite. I love this place and the format is top notch but you simply never know what's around the bend in this fast paced tech based life we are all in. Not to mention the increasingly sick population we seem to have here in the U.S.
  7. Hi Mark, What do you mean by bead rolled?
  8. Hi, Hasegawa is re-releasing there TWR racing Jag XJ-S H.E. That thing is killer. I'd wait for that one. It's on pre-order now I think.
  9. Hi, That's a great idea, I will do so. Thanks Matt.
  10. Hi, Yep, the K&S .016" should be pretty cool. Thanks Mark.
  11. Hi, That's cool stuff. How do you remove it from your work once done?
  12. Hi, I bought some K&S .016" sheets to try. It's in between my .020" and .010" Evergreen sheets which should feel about right for what I'd like to do.
  13. Hi, Yep, imgbox seems cool, fast and a simple interface. Me likes a lot.
  14. Hi, For simple solid shapes like wing tips, etc has any one use K&S .005" thick aluminum foil roll? They have sheets as well but they look no different then the rolls. Or would a thick standard fair aluminum foil roll work as well? I've seen a few at .05" thick which may be ok for my desired application like air dams, side skirts, wings, wing tips etc... Thanks in advance.
  15. Hi, Wow, my all time favorite cars, I love this post! Thank you for building them beautifully!
  16. Hi, Why thank you for the great tip!
  17. Hi Bernard, What kind of decal paper did you use and if the edges lifted along side the long edges, how did you remedy this? Man, your project looks great so far.
  18. Hi, Sooooo, any one get this bad boy and can do an un-boxing review of sorts?
  19. Hi, Why thank you! It means a lot to this struggling builder. While I sprayed a test body very well with the varnish, my actual car came out a little different. Fortunately I was able to remove the grain but am watching many videos before I do my final varnish coat over the decals. I'll do test shot on the inside of the body at 18-20PSI, closer and my trigger moderately pulled back. I have a tendency to pull the AB trigger all the way back when spraying which release a boat load of paint.
  20. Hi, Wow, I will def get me one of them theres. I love it! While I'm partial to 50-70's designs, the newer trends are growing on me.
  21. Hi, Why thank you sir! I'm excited but made many mistakes. Based on all the builds I've seen here, I'm the most junior of modelers. But learning.
  22. Hi, Ok got final paint and decals on. I had clear satin coated it before the decals to seal in the paint. In a few days I'll do another layer to blend and seal in the decals. I'm mostly happy with my printed Italian flag. Went through several until I got it right. I now know what not to do with this particular decal paper. Once final coated, then some assembly and done. I can't wait. Hopefully be next weekend or end of week, exciting!
  23. Hi, Ok cool, thanks guys.
  24. Hi, I was thinking about buying some decals from VRM but wanted to check here first and see if you all think they are still functioning? There site is up but hasn't been updated in some time. I've also sent a few unanswered emails.
  25. Hi, I like the lines on this better then the BMW Z4. They are both sorta the same and shoe like. I do love love that.
