  1. Maybe if you dropped in a big rig Cummings motor and some chrome side tanks and stacks...
  2. One of my favorite trucks also. Nice work.
  3. Not only is the truck amazing, the background is amazing too. Looks real, even has mud on the inner fenders. Wow!
  4. Wet decals tend to move or tear if you form them around sharp details, so I have found when placing decals over sharp details or when trying to get a decal into a door gap or something similar, it is best to let the decal dry overnight. Then I soak the area good with Microsol and form it into and around the difficult areas with a q-tip or small brush.
  5. You did a great job on the weathering. Awesome truck!
  6. That is an amazing model, and I love that is is an old Dodge.
  7. Real nice. Good choice of color.
  8. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/103396-california-hauler-retro-rhetoric/#comment-1454148 Nice Freightliner!
  9. I had to contact Italeri not long ago for a missing Areomax headlight. Cost me $3 delivered to my door. Took about a week and a half to get it, which I considered fast considering it came from Italy. BTW, nice job on the Volvo. That truck /trailer combo is super long! If those are 6" tiles on your kitchen counter, than that rig is 36" long! I picked one up not long ago and was real disappointed that there was no engine or opening hood. For what we paid for the kit, they should have compensated by having opening doors or something.
  10. Neat old truck. Needs a period dump box. Reminds me of the dump trucks showed in old pictures of Hoover Dam or Empire State Building when they were laying the foundations. Anyway, nice looking truck.
  11. Looks good so far. I like older cab over's. On my current project, I also had had problems when I stretched my frame 3 1/2 inches. I've seen it done lots of times on this site, but I haven't been able to find much information on how it's done. It would be great if one of the Pro's could post a tutorial on the do's and don'ts of big rig frame stretching.
  12. You have pictures of the hinge by the door, but do you have any pics of the hinges installed? I'm wanting to know where you would glue them on the body and door. Looks like Something I would like to try someday.
  13. Very well done. I really like the interior detail.
  14. Great trucks. What is your secret for gluing in the windows? I can't even see a hint of glue anywhere, even on the K123 which is very difficult to glue in the glass.
  15. Awesome job man! I really like the lit interior. The Lonestar and Prostar kits have very detailed interior cab and sleeper, and most of the time you can't see it.
  16. Thank you for all the compliments.
  17. The hollow rubber hose tubing that comes with many trailer kits, like the Revell Auto transport and the AMT flatbed. Sometimes it is used for air hose and other kits its for hydraulic hoses, but it is all about the same size. Would that tubing be considered a scale 1" or 1 1/2" sized tubing?
  18. This is my Revell Auto Transport filled with some of my Mopar models from 20 years ago.
  19. That looks great. What kind of clear are you using?
  20. Nice clean build. Love the color.
  21. Nice. At first I thought I was looking at the prototype for your model.
  22. Here's my latest update. It's been a big project so far. I'm about ready to wrap up the cab, and I have a real nice start on the bed.
  23. I think you accidentally posted the 1:1 prototype pictures and not the model. Wow! Nice Job!
