  1. Came out great!!!! Did you wet sand first? That would have been my suggestion.
  2. Just bend a custom exhaust, who cares if it goes under the fuel tank instead of around. I was looking at your engine install, rather than messing with the radiator support, why not remove the pan (yes, I know it is molded in) and use a dual sump pan to move the engine back?
  3. This is looking good! My vote is the 17" wheels also. I ran into the same issue with losing detail when doing repairs and priming. I now mask over any details when I prime. The hardtop cars had the Thunderbird emblem on the C pillar like the kit does (or did) The vinyl top Landau's had Landau bars found in the '66 Tbird kits. Not that you need them just giving some info. As an FYI, the '65 and '66 Galaxie chassis is a good swap but needs a little stretch.
  4. I may need to go there for some "Angel Hair" for the package shelf of my '49 Merc.
  5. Not being a big Camaro guy, normally I'd be a no on this, but with all the work R2 has been doing I'll be picking one or two up for support. I have the '67, '68 and 70 1/2 Camaro's, so why not the 81? LOL
  6. Day and a half? I cannot decide on color in a day and a half.... Good job
  7. Looks good!!!! Great imagination for the weathering.
  8. Well, I am building a 49 Ford and wanted the bumper guards removed. After working on them and getting them to look good I used BMF on them. They looked good but not right. I bit the bullet and purchased some Revell Chrome. I considered the plating cost and how much I could get plated for $35 and decided to try it out. Well, I am very happy with the results and the can should go a long way. The bumper was primered with black primer and wet sanded with 3000 grit, cleaned with dawn and painted. Quick mist coats and when it was all smooth, stopped. Gonna let it set for quite awhile til I finish other projects. Here is one of the bumpers, other than a small area where I worked on it, it came out great IMO. You can even see my hands holding the camera about a foot away.
  9. Great save!!!!! Love it!
  10. That came out beautifully!
  11. 60's period custom vibe to this! I like it.
  12. Very Cool!!!!!
  13. What Mark said. Wonderful kit overall.
  14. If you are wanting the early flathead with the coolant hoses in the center of the cylinder head, the Revell 40 Ford Street rod has a good one and is 1/25 scale.
  15. Looks to be perfect other than accessories, but that is easily swapped out. THANKS
  16. Okay, I am getting ready to start on the 36 Plymouth modified and the BBC has to go. What 1/25 kits have the nicest 383/440? And does any kit have a good single plane intake for one of these engines? My '37 Chevy has a Chevy, my '40 Ford has Ford so my Mopar needs a Mopar....
  17. Thanks everyone I have been mixing by volume and probably rushing the mix fearing setting up while pouring. I mixed a batch longer than before and seemed good this time.
  18. I'll message you after I look for the promo wheels.
  19. These? They are from the old Advent 59 retractable. I may have a set of 59 Wheels from a promo.
  20. Well, it has not been opened for long, a month with periodic use. Mix is to be 1:1 equal mix. about 3 times I have had casts stay soft. Dry but soft and pliable. Seems all is done right otherwise. Maybe I need to mix longer?
