I am trying to ID a kit I have been looking for. I had a vague memory of trying to build (unsuccessfully lol) a robot/motorcycle kit as a youth back in the 80's. Just today I found a picture of it but no information. Is anyone familiar with this? Thanks.

That is very nice work and a clean looking build. The red paint with the charcoal bird really look good together. Are those Keith Marks decals?

I just won an mint MPC 1974 Camaro kit for $20 on EBay! I am happy to say the least, I have had a 74 and a 77 conversion in mind for some time.

Fantastic job James. The whitewall on the tires backside is a perfect detail that I haven't seen anyone do yet. Excellent weathering as well ,very realistic.

That Goat looks great. That's not the best kit in the world , and yours looks sweet.

Thanks again. The kit is the Testors 1980 Firebird kit #4083 or 4086. Its a basic snapper with a lot of problems. The interior and chassis are shared with the companion Camaro kit. Not a bad start for a curbside build though. The article by Damncranky was in Model Cars October 2008 #135. His example looks much better than mine.

Your best bet is to get the Monogram 1/24 78 Firebird 3n1 kit ,and use the front and rear clips from the Testors 1980 Firebird kit. The front ends were the same from 79-81 , so you should be ok.
