  1. What are you going to do for seats?
  2. Grilles are different but rear bumper is the same. I have a 74 front end. If you want I can make a resin copy to spare you some time.
  3. Here's Herb Adams' 366:
  4. Thanks, Carl. You are always a great encouragement to all of us here.
  5. Getting closer. Did some detail painting with Molotow and got the wheel/tire/stance situation settled a bit. I decided to go with painted bumpers on a suggestion from Rusty, one of our members. I tried thinning Molotow with alcohol and spraying it but it just came out silver. Then I sprayed full strength and it looked like it should but then when I cleared it it turned silver again so I gave up. I still need to finish the interior, add a windshield, paint under the hood and touch up the chassis. Here it is next to my other Collonade Grand Am project.
  6. Got some more detail work done on the body. I'm finishing up the exhaust and the rest of the chassis and then on to windows.
  7. Given that this was an "update" sort of build I had a can of Testor's Fire Orange metallic paint so I decided to use that. It is a darker burnt orange sort of shade but I think with decals and everything else it will look cool.
  8. Pierre: I have used fiberglass window screen painted white with white pinstriping tape on the edges as well as gauze bandages with striping tape for window nets.
  9. Here's one Tim did:
  10. Anybody ever do a decal sheet for this one?
  11. I did a similar thing with my Team Associates Grand Am. That car had a fairly stock chassis so I used that as a starting point.
  12. The AMT T Birds from the Bill Elliot era have a chassis that is pretty accurate for this era. It may need shortened but they have good detail and work great in these older builds.
  13. Slow progress. Shortened the chassis and added some filler pieces. Also worked on the floor pans and rear wheel wheels. I ordered some plus size honeycomb wheels which are pretty cool. Beautiful resin castings. I'm not always a fan of the big wheel look but they do fill the fenderwells nicely. Interior is pretty much done. I added seat belts and flocked the floor. Made the sport steering wheel from scratch. Still needs a shifter. I put the core support and radiator in and am finishing the A/C system. Next I need to paint the body and figure out the windows.
  14. Harry, I will take a look at the video. I have parts and decals to do the Grey Ghost and the Firebird. Your emails and photos have been invaluable, as well as the Petersen archives. My goal is to complete the three Team cars. One down, two to go!
  15. Grand Am is another one of my resins. 73 and 74/75.
  16. Hi, drag race folks. I'm starting a 60's era drag car project and it appears it had daisy spokes on the back and spindle mount spoked wheels on the front. Are there any kits out there taht would have these wheels and tires in them? Thanks!
  17. Looking for a set of decals for the Pellegrini 68 Skylark funny car. Someone made one at some point in time. Thanks!
  18. It was super clean. Great art work.
  19. I found that one in a magazine, I think from an east Coast model show (NNA?). I can't remember but it is a clean model build.
  20. This one has been floating around in my mind since I saw a rendering of it a number of years ago. One of my 73 resin bodies with the GTO nose and modified Buick GSX spoiler, resin Lemans interior, scratch built sport steering wheel, engine from a Firebird kit, Fireball resin Holley carb, 68 Cutlass chassis and resin large Honeycomb wheels. A modern take on a "could have been". Carousel Red/Saddle tan combo. Bucket seats, console, dash and tub my own resins. Sport wheel a cut down and modified NASCAR T Bird wheel. Fun so far. I did deviate on the rear spoiler. The Judge wing did not look right. Too big.

    Who did the decals?
  22. That may have been the reason for the reinforcing plates in the rear-to mount the "posts" for the Camaro sway bar to mount to. I wanted this to be as real as possible, and it turned out great, Thanks to Harry and Swede and Tim. All tremendous sources of information. This was kind of a mission build for me after I saw the first picture. It has often been called one of the most beautiful NASCAR cars ever and I agree. It was also probably one of the most innovative cars ever. A real tribute to a bunch of REALLY smart engineers.
  23. Nice build. Something my Swedish friends (from Minnesota) schooled me on.
  24. Swedish?
  25. A good rescue. What's that lurking in the background with what appear to be Laguna window louvers?
