Not my choice of color ( but I like em shiny), but this is a very nice, clean build. I know the look you were after with the paint choice though, and you nailed it. Super cool.
Thanks shoopdog- yes, I brushed acrylic flat black on a tire and let it dry for a couple minutes. Then I set it on the desk next to the car to get the right height, and just sort of scraped it on the side.
Man that's a super-cool hot rod!!!! And looks like you did a good job on the BMF- that stuff is no joke- gotta get your game face on for you start in with that foil!!
Here is the Petty Dart Kit Car. Box stock with the exception of the window net, "racer's prayer" decal on the dash, and the race wear and BMF. Hope you like.
That's a real nice model- that red paint is awesome!!! I've done the plug wiring one time and hated it!!! I may try it again in the future, but I've about decided I'm a "Box Stock Man"!!
Very cool- I can imagine a 50 something business exec headed to the courts in his "tennis clothes" to play a match with some business associates. And maybe his name is "Carlton".
