I needed a break from building gt race cars. I had this stashed in the back of the closet. It still needs to be finished, but wanted to share. The cowl still needs painted and the front fender needs to be put on. Waiting for the carbon decals to dry. The stand needs finishing. This was just about done in a week.

Legos. They have them in some of the car kit. Some of the super hero cars have them as well.

All the body color decals are now done. Time for carbon decals and all the sponsors .

A small update to my post. The decal process has started. These are the underlay decals for the color of the car. They dry with a flat sheen . The ones on the air box are a bit short in a few spots. A bit of mixed touch up with be needed. The decals are thick, as most Fujimi decals. They work well with the Scale Motorsports decal set. The wheels will be sprayed with some flat clear. The car is going to be post raced weathered

This is going to be my next decal project. The kit was ordered from amazon japan. I'm going to build it the same way as the BMW gt3 that was posted in the under glass section. Body gets painted all white and the rest is decals. Say tuned ...check out pacific ravings website. Some cool pictures of the car. It's a 2015

They make some nice stuff. I have the blue checker board version of this car. May have to build it after seeing yours.

Thanks guys... I like post race versions . The Tamiya weathering kits work very well. They build up nice and if you make a mistake clean up is quick.

It's the Fujimi kit. It's the version of the 2014 car. Hobby link japan has a great magazine with full detail photos of the car. It's worth owning if you build race cars. Great detail shots.

It was a rainy day in the philly area today , so a good day to finish a build. The is the round two version of the BMW gt3. A fun kit to build if you like decals. The decals are a bit thick for my taste. The do lay down with a bunch of setting solution . The car has slight weathering as I like to build post race. The interior is done as well,but I forgot to take a picture before the lid went on.

This has been an on and off project. Scale Motorsports decals and there detail set is being used. Model Factory Hiro heat shielding is on the bulkhead . It was also used on the exhaust to replicate the heat wrap. Then it was weathered with the Tamiya weathering sets. I will post more pics as the build now moves to the front of my line.

It is a decal. It landed down well with the help of some decal set and a hair dryer .

A few quick pictures of a project that was a on again off again build. I finished this about a year ago. It's a Revell f1 kit. A good kit for a quick build. Decent detail. The car was built post race winner. Note the light weathering and tire clag. The clag was made by taking an eraser and rubbing it on a sanding stick. It was stained black with some ink. I used a clear glue that I tinted black with the same ink. Then blended it in with chalk. The driver is a Tamiya rally driver with a Different helmet . Helmet details were done with a Sharpie markers.
