  12. Dodges are the overlooked semi trucks. There have been several builders on this forum who have built some great looking Dodge Semi trucks. Having finished my wrecker, I thought that it would be nice to see them all together. Here's my two IMG_1317 by Brian Smith, on Flickr Dodge Bighorn by Brian Smith, on Flickr
  13. This truck began with a resin cab I think to be from "Back Yard Shed." It was slightly modified to make it more accurate. The Frame rails are from Gary Wallace. The engine is a 6-71N from Clint Freeman. The bed began with the AMT wrecker bed. The sides were completely scratch built. The font and rear are from the kit but have been narrowed 1/4 inch. The boom stick is scratch built and larger diameter. The winch assemblies and boom support are from the kit. The wheels are old Ertl kit wheels. These wreckers were known by many as "Big Stick" wreckers. I decided to build this one clean fresh out of the paint shop. 14. Very nice!! I like what you did with the back wheels!!
  15. A small amount of progress. It's starting to look like a truck. I still have to mount the cab and make the shifter assembly, and a few other details too. IMG_1213 by Brian Smith, on Flickr IMG_1214 by Brian Smith, on Flickr
  16. Thanks Jeff! Your wrecker inspired me to build a wrecker bed. Thanks Dan! It was your cabover Dodges that inspired me to build mine. Yes sir, that's exactly what these were called. Thanks Chris! It's the first time that I've tried to make a steering knob. Thanks Pat! Your work always inspire me to try something new.
  17. Well I've got the interior wrapped up and the windows installed. I added sun visors, roof A/C, a CB, and the sleeper heater that was in these trucks. IMG_1183 by Brian Smith, on Flickr IMG_1204 by Brian Smith, on Flickr IMG_1201 by Brian Smith, on Flickr IMG_1199 by Brian Smith, on Flickr
