  1. Not a winner maybe, but we sure remember it for other reasons....
  2. That's a neat idea, and definitively not one I would have had myself, maybe I'll steal it in the future if I need it, if you dont mind?
  3. I bet it's hard to read when wearing this though.
  4. Black paint on the pillars, since it will look cool together with tinted windows.... Black taillights is also feeling necessary when we're talking the 90s. Some people tinted their headlights too, very illegal and kind of stupid, but period at least.... I also painted the badge in yellow to tone down the black a bit, feels like something that could have been done back then. Does anyone remember if mono wiper conversions was a thing back in circa 1993 which is the era I'm aiming for? I remember they were the rage in the late 90s but by then many other modifications on this car was falling out of fashion too, so.....
  5. Paint and graphics, a little mockup, I must say that I am impressed now, this looks more 90s than I even remember the 90s, lol!
  6. ...I think you have some things to explain to us.....
  7. I tilted the sunroof since it gives some more life to the model. The bright gold might be a nice colour but it is only a basecoat for the yellow pearl, since it's very transparent I prefer to use a basecoat as similar as possible. Using a colour like this almost feels wasteful though, lol.
  8. Meanwhile at the paint store
  9. That sums it up great.... But it looks great when finished if the 4x4 ride height is sorted out.
  10. Conversion looks great indeed.
  11. Great to see someone tackling the problems of this kit in the right way, I just got tired, sectioned the chassis and moved it upwards in the floorpan, causing many new troubles solved by leaving out parts.........oh well. I guess you don't blame me since this kit is a nightmare...
  12. Not much left of that graffiti some gallons later......
  13. Nice build, I don't know if my aunt has some kind of love for the unloved, because in the 90s she had a BRAT (though we never got the weird jump seats in Sweden) and a bustleback Seville diesel at the same time. I remember the BRAT was reliable in a very strange kind of way, parts kept breaking all the time but it was like the BRAT didn't care, it just kept on running anyway when it was in such a condition that most other cars and trucks would have been rendered useless in.... I wonder if anything was left that wasn't broken when it went to the junkyard about 10 years ago..... I have some plans to get the reissue and build a replica of that one.....
  14. Well, never fun to have to redo a paintjob, but on the positive side it looks much better in purple than in blue IMO.
  15. Not if it's welded to the workbench!
  16. . But enough blabbering,
  17. Impressive work indeed. Would not have guessed that it started its life as a B3, it's a very convincing C3.
  18. outside Dunkin' donuts
  19. I'm going to be a bad boy and wash those dog diapers on the wrong programme at 90 degrees without reading the instructions at all!
  20. Getting old Rover on better thoughts shouldn't be hard.... ;)
