BEAUTIFUL!!!!!.....my favorite year of Camaro!!
-
I just got done installing the two intercoolers, inner splash guards, top air channel, and photo-etch screws, and bolts. I also made the final tweaking of the front end bits, and came up with a couple of very interesting things that are wrong/not clear with a couple parts. I will be getting some photos drawn up explaining these issues that cause the front fascia to stick-out too far, and how to fix it. I also posted photos of all the things I either cut-off, added, or filed-down.....shown in red, or white. The photo with the toothpick, is pointing at the top two contact points on the fascia. When lined-up properly, there WILL be a tiny gap!

Thanks, Scott!, i'm glad you're still hanging in there with me!!

Heres one last little update before I start prepping the body for paint.....I like to use Canopy glue to attach my parts to be painted; in this case, it also kept paint out of the contact spot, ensuring a positive, and strong bonding point.
-
Thanks again Atin!, I agree...this kit is most definitely worth it!!
-
Thanks Greg!, this kit deserves it!!

Got some more done!....all the tweaking is finished!! That freaking rear bumper didn't want to sit on the factory glue point AGAIN!, but that plan "B" I showed you, fits perfectly! The red marks show the tweaking I had to do. Beware of the bumper corners, even though it looks like they have definite contact points, they will move all around. I suggest taping the cowl down, fitting the main bumper piece, and then attach the corners.

Thanks, Ashley!!...much appreciated!!

Just got done adding all the recent scratchbuilt things, and it all went in perfectly!, plus I was able to add the E-brake cables too. Next step; final body tweaking now that nothing can move around and change things!
-
Thanks, Atin!, just a few more body tweaks to do, now that the front and rear assemblies are glued down.
-
Thanks, again, William!!, glad I can help!....I really like my Duplicolors!!
-
The last of the scratchbuilt parts is done for the rear assembly, and FINALLY I will be able to permanently attach the parts, as well as the front & rear assemblies, so that I can do the FINAL body fitment. The air filters here are made from real paper, folded to shape, and glued down. I included a photo of the tiny paper bits I used for it.

LMAO!!......they would drive me nuts if I knew you could see them when its finished,,,lol, it is VERY hard seeing them like this, even the fuel lines not being hooked up!, but i'll get over it...lol, I'm glad you are liking it!

Monogram Ferrari GTO 1/24 Scale the 5 year build

Sorry to hear you are still having problems!, the rest of it is looking so good!! Once in a GREAT while, I get this with my Duplicolor, so I sand it down with 2000, then shoot another coat of kolor, then filler primer, and sand it again with 2000, and try the kolor again, and its usually fine after that. -
Looking SWEEEET!!!!

Beautiful build!!!!!

Got a few more things scratchbuilt just now; Air boxes, filters (half done), cold air, or heat release ducts...don't know which, heater motor assembly, and a wiper motor. They will get paint tomorrow!

Thanks, William!!

Thanks, Bruce!!....Duplicolor is my favorite paint!!!
-
Thanks, James!, the answer is simple; I'm a VERY stubborn Kraut, and nobody can convince me that those decals are down to proper scale, and even if they were, it would be too faint to see with the naked eye, so I like to use metallic paint instead as a simulation.

Thanks, Codi!!, because of the stage i'm at, I was able to see what was causing that strange bumper issue. If the rear glue points aren't spot-on, they will slide back just enough to be BARELY noticeable until you put the bumper on. Aoshima should have had a more pronounced contact to stop this issue. Good news is that if it does happen to you, my photos show that its not a big deal, just slide the bumper off its contact, rotate it up to the cowl, and glue her down.
