  1. Nice job with the dremel today Terry. The frame looks nice and straight now. Rob
  2. Oh yeah, that is just a little stretch in there Richard. I'm looking forward to seeing more. Rob
  3. Those are both great looking Diamond Reos Terry. Hard to even notice the angle on those beauties. Thanks for the website information Jacobus. I spent a little time going through it this afternoon. Yeah, the doors are cut out and work is well under way Michael. I've spent a good part of my weekend on the inner door panels trying to get them to look something like the picture I posted above. I think I am almost there. Thanks everyone for having a look. Rob
  4. Your out of the blocks now Jeff. I'm looking forward to seeing this one come along. Rob
  5. That's a great looking truck Matt. I've recently started my first big rig build as well and I am having a blast. Take your time and ask questions, the experienced guys here are great. Rob
  6. Thanks for the tips Terry. I had no idea the angled cut wasn't part of the cab design. Rob
  7. Great work Ben. I really like those tanks as well. Rob
  8. Wow Alain! What can I say that hasn't already been said! You do amazing work! Rob
  9. Thanks Michael, Terry, Brian and Dan. I am pleased they way the hood worked out with the brace inside. It looks good on the outside but a little sloppy looking when the hood is opened. I'll have to do a little clean up as I plan on keeping the hood as opening and closing. No big deal though. The firewall in the kit comes nowhere close to fitting. I started to add strips of plastic to fill in the gaps, then I looked at some reference material on the net and realized I could build my own and add more details than the kit part has. I'll post some photos a little later. This week was a little busier with that darn work thing many of us have to do. I wish I could get paid to build models. In my dreams! I did manage to get her up on her feet and do a quick little mock-up with the fenders attached. I started some high level plans for the interior. It'll be mostly scratch built to replicate the interior door panels and floor plan a little more detailed and realistic. I found this shot on the net which shows a very basic, no frills interior. My guess is most fleet trucks didn't come with many bells and whistles. I have it in my mind that it would be cool to make operating windows. Why do I do this to myself. Maybe I'll just leave that out on this build. Thanks for looking guys. Now back to the workbench. Rob
  10. Thanks for the tip guys. I was with Mike trying to find Cat yellow. Now I know. Mike, your Vette is beautiful. Rob
  11. I'm with both of you. I'll be lucky to get a little star sticker and a note saying "thanks for coming out".
  12. I love these old trucks. They have so much character. Good luck with your casting. I'm anxious to hear how it works out. I haven't done casting either but would like to give it a try one day. Your off to a great start Brian. Rob
  13. I have to try your seat technique with the medical tape Richard. They really do look great. I hope you don't mind that I am stealing your idea.
  14. For model cars I prefer Tamiya or Testors lacquer spray bombs. I only use the airbrush if I am set on a color that doesn't came in a can.
  15. You have some great techniques Richard. I love the medical tape on the seats! Nice save on the glue bomb this car once was. Rob
  16. |Ding Dang Sean, What a cool idea! The mock up looks awesome man!
  17. I like what your doing with the fenders Gino. Those custom trucks have some serious pipes on them.
  18. I couldn't agree more!
  19. When I was a kid my dad was a GM man. We had Pontiac and Chevy cars throughout. My neighbours were Ford fans. As kids we would argue over which was the best, me of course GM, and the neighbour Ford. Now, I drive and prefer Fords, and he prefers GMs. Go figure!
  20. Very nice work Clifford. The color is perfect for that car. Rob

    Boss 429

I really like that color on the Mustang. Nice job, and BMF is not so easy to do, but it looks good. Rob
  22. Great work on these Chris! Two of my all-time favourite vehicles.
  23. Nice job Jan. I always was a fan of the Firebird and was deeply saddened when Pontiac was cut.
  24. I must have about 10 of these in my stash but I haven't built one yet. I sure do like what you have done with yours though. Nice job Steve. Rob
