  6. I've been wondering about that too, I was thinking that maybe the matte aluminum foil would work as well
  7. working on a replica of my first car. 84 regal limited with t-type hood and trunk spoiler. 14" buick style ralleys with 185/75/14 whitewalls, 2 hydraulic pumps, 4 batteries and 2 switches. ###### this is a thin body. since I don't have any pics of the real car left I had to open the trunk and build the setup. ###### this is a thin body. since I don't have any pics of the real car left I had to open the trunk and build the setup. ###### this is a thin body. since I don't have any pics of the real car left I had to open the trunk and build the setup.
  8. thanks everyone. I painted this one sometime last summer then put it away. Its just a simple curbside as alot was missing from the box, I had to pull glass from another kit, so I guess I'll have to make my own when I build that one.

  11. Duplicolor metalspeks bule/silver with a purple pearl top coat
  12. you'll never get that many new kits for that price, so I'd say you made out great
  13. I got 17" in my back yard here in Brooklyn Park, MD. Some places look worse due to the drifts. I pulled this off of WBAL 1090 AM website As of 6pm, WBAL Meteorologist Tony Pann was reporting: 24 inches of snow in Crofton, 23 inches in Jessup, 16 inches in Cockeysville 15 inches at the WBAL studios on TV Hill. Snow began falling late Friday night, and is expected to continue through the day Saturday before tapering off Sunday morning.
  14. Sorry to hear about your Kitkat, we recently lost our manecoon of 12 years. He suffered a pair of cesures(sp) in the middle of the night, took him to the emergency vet and they said he appeared fine at the time but they didn't know how long to expect. He was good until later that evening when he peacefully curled up and went to sleep. Its good to hear that you have a the kind of cat that will easily welcome a new arrival. Phil

  18. thanks for the assembled pics. I've been thinking of getting a set of the door hinges but I couldn't visualize how they would look when folded. How many pairs of doors will one pack do? I thought it was at least 2-4 rides
  19. So I was bored when I got home from work this morning and gave it a shot. I don't have a polishing kit so I used 1000,1500 and 2000 wet/dry paper but I used your soapy water and finger waxing method. there are still some very faint swirls but I only polished it for about 30 minutes. Thanks again Bill, I think I may have a whole new method of polishing, and I definately need to invest n a polishing kit for a Christmas gift to myself. Do they wear down over time, whats the average life expectancy? Phil
  20. saw this and thought of your build http://www.flickr.com/photos/80643375@N00/...57594581005075/ phil
  21. I have to agree with every statement made here, he is one of the best people you will ever meet. When I first joined MAMA back in '03 or "04 we were talking about impalas after which I gave him a failed project. It was a 58 impala which I glued the doors closed and added the custom front/rear bumpers to it, nothing else just the body. I was amazed to see it the following month built up.
  22. here's some good outdoor shots
  23. keep up the good work Bill, I always enjoy your builds
  24. Well, she's done. These pics will have to do until I get a nice day, its overcast and drizzling right now. So here's he run down: 67 continental, 62 catalina chassis modified to fit underneath, 429 ci engine from a 70 torino, interior modified to mate to chassis, pegasus 22" rims, 2 12" subs/amps, 20 gallon air tank with engine driven compressor, duplicolor orange mist over silver base. I'll get up better picks before I pack this one up for Toledo.
