  1. That Monogram "40 Ford pick up is surely a classic. I'm sure we've all built a few of these, if not, you have to check it out.
  2. A few pic's from the web to get the juices goin' and not to worry, jump up in scale, there's plenty of those great ol' Monogram "A"'s out there
  3. Gotta love those '40's Guess with Revell off in the nether lands we'll just have to do with AMT's repop, Model by Foghawk https://www.tapatalk.com/groups/retroscalemodeling/amt-trophy-series-40-ford-deluxe-coupe-t9074140.html. Other photos from The H.A.M.B. through The Rodders Journal
  4. Nice job on the X-15 Hugh. Now you need some more "X" planes. There are a few out there. X-1, X-3, X-5 and lots of luck and lots of money maybe the X-13.
  5. Probably the first plastic scale B-17 kit. Lindberg still has this in their catalogue. Just picked one up at Hobby Lobby $8 with %40 coupon. Very nicely done Rick. Good use of what you had. Great work with the camera too.
  6. Does the checker board background denote a Wal-Mart kit ? If so, how many were there ? Something to collect ?
  7. and including a simple link in the original post would certainly have precluded all this animosity. and made the whole thing much easier to navigate and understand, seriously.
  8. Yes, I'm serious. Why do a thread only half way? Pictures, links, all add to the enhancement and better understanding of what one is trying to convey.
  9. Some interesting questions and insight into this kit from another board. http://www.automotiveforums.com/t1066325-amt_shelby_cobra_289_questions.html
  10. A link would really enhance this thread
  11. Then there were these as well ain't no Cobras.
  12. Interesting side story, and a sad commentary of the automotive conciseness of the time. When I started teaching Auto shop in the late seventies, if the Cobra subject came up talking to my students from the north west phoenix area, these were their visions of what a Cobra was. I had my work cut out for me.
  13. Yeah, waited too long on the Mini Exotics. and a few others.
  14. John Lennon : " If you could give Rock and Roll another name, you might as well call it Chuck Berry,"
  15. or Monogram, to finish up their '65-'66 series in 1/24th.
  16. then to delve into the slot car arena , still fuel for builds with different bodies
  17. Go for one of the Monogram 289's they're nice with some photo etch as well. They're out there for reasonable prices.
  18. With the Hardtop / notch back out numbering the fastback by roughly 350,000 to 75,000 in just the first year alone, why do we not have more Hardtop kits ? When we were just getting into the Mustang as drivers the hardtop was it, most couldn't afford the fastback.
  19. and for those of you that didn't scroll down and read the description . . . this is . . . "A model Diorama artist picked up bunch of bad built models from lady that was trashing her late husband models years ago, and came out with this junkyard shadowbox idea. These are plastic 1/24 and 1/25 scale models cut front and back, of most, and cut some at angle with then paint and weathered them."
