  1. Big pipe just looks better. In my opinion the AMT Double Dragster kits have BIG pipe but I feel it just looks so much better than the Revell frames (parts packs) even the newer Slingster vs the older Sizzler. Now I have to say, I realize the big thicker pipes are not to scale as the smaller ones are, just something I prefer maybe some 1/24th scale bias. I know that's not the issue though.
  2. That's 4360 cubic inches, four rows of 7 cylinders, supercharged, 3000 hp.
  3. Interesting how even though we've "Been there" many people respond positively to a new post. Maybe they haven't seen the previous post due to it being old , unavailable through the useless search feature or it is just more convenient to respond to the current post.
  4. Seem to indicate the possibility of building all of the BIG Tee variants. With a little work on the Big Drag" Like to see this one reissued.
  5. A real Revell classic, Canopy opens, wheels retract, wings fold, pull arresting hook out and speed brakes open. did I miss anything ?
  6. Hmmmm, that's what I started this thread with before it was combined with the " Incomplete Bonuses" thread.
  7. Still the only game in town for these two wheeled jewels.
  8. Yes Ron, I flew a Revell Skyraider into the wall. If any of you haven't built one of these, think Revell Tri- Fives "Everything opens, everything operates" I did recover as did the kit. Amazingly enough I did finish it with everything operational.
  9. I had two good friends in high school, Tucson 1960's that each had one. a coupe and a sedan the coupe had a "Hopped up Merc" . I remember i had a box of '97's we dug through and found two good ones to put on the sedan. Those were the days.
  10. Peeked my interest. What do you have to have ?

I prefer to sell it...$200 but I posted a want list under heading INSANE WANT LIST...would work out something for some of that stuff

  11. No, I don't need a resin kit, thank you. I'm thinking more like take an AMT '41 Woody front clip and the back half of the Revell '48 Police Coupe , and hook em up.
  12. one more, paying more attention when i got out of the Navy in 1974 returning to the States and not being aware of those great Aurora Racing Scenes kits.
  13. We all have regrets, what are some of your model related regrets ? My biggest one was not anteing up the $100 for the Richard Petty 1/16th scale Charger i found at an automotive swap many years ago. Yeah, quite crestfallen when it was reissued, WITHOUT the clear body. Yeah, I know, they couldn't cast it because it would break, it wouldn't be very clear, blah, blah, blah.
