  5. Great work on the tanks and the truck is super sharp!
  6. A little bit of progress, cab primed and up on its wheels.
  7. Wow,great build!Nice detailing, all the way down to the pack of Marlboro's on the dash!
  8. What a beauty Ken,looks like it should be hooked up to a 40' Timpte reefer hauling a load of swinging beef down the Monfort lane!
  9. Wow Mark, this truck is great !Reminds me of when I was a kid and we'd stumble upon an old truck or car like this in the woods.I can almost smell the musty interior and oil and grease.Fantastic job!
  10. Thank you all for your replies!
  11. Well,it's been slow going but finally making a little bit of progress.Learned from my mistakes on my White Western Star and found out Easy Off in the yellow can is the best dechromer(and boy there's a lot of chrome on this kit).Anyway,I still turn to this forum for inspiration and expertise!
  12. The longer I spend time with it the more I like it LOL!Problem is I'm starting to have more unbuilt boxes than completed models, guess that puts me in a collector category?
  13. Awesome build, both the Huey and Jimmy are classics!
  14. Wow,that's really cool!
  15. Looks great!I also think yellow spokes and white rings.
  16. Thanks for the reply Sean,I bought it locally for a reasonable price.I know they have some value but when I see models listed for $175 I find that hard to believe. While this kit is cool,I'm really interested more in an R Model Mack or the DM800 or an old 4070 Transtar.I bought this one more on speculation. On a side note, this model was given to the woman I bought it from by Tyrone Malone. She worked for Bandag and he brought the truck to Toms River NJ in the late 70's and they all got models. She said she also saw Irvy the frozen whale and used to drive an Autocar dump with a 13 speed Roadranger!Cool backstory!
  17. Hi guys, could someone please value this kit for me?It is complete but has a little bit of damage to a few decals. Thanks!
  18. Great looking Pete, love the trucks of that era!
