  1. Did an aquaintance a favor. He wants to buy a Morgan but wanted to drive one first. The dealer doesn't have a demo so I said drive ours and give me a good price on the kits he had. Curious what you all think would be a good price on the lot?
  2. Thanks! It was a good driver, but not really fun to drive. It had issues that would need to be addressed in the near future and we realized we really didn't have the time to work on an old car.
  3. Good eye! It was a '62 that my Wife got. She loved it but realized we weren't going to do anything with it after she got the Morgan. It went to a good home.
  4. His and hers 2005 MINI Coopers, her 2013 Morgan and My 2012 CTS-V Wagon with three pedals.
  5. A Faller 1/87 scale working water log flume. Picture is not mine; mine is unbuilt.
  6. When I had my CRX-Si I was talking to some kid at a yard party about how much he wanted a CRX and on and on then he said "That or a LeMans...they're about the same". Yeeeeaaahhhh...nice talkin' to ya.
  7. I like to buy them and look at them. It makes me happy!
  8. Hi Bill! I just joined here and I want to say I really appreciate the info you gave me over on the Spotlight board regarding the chassis fit of this kit. I think I almost have it now. And your work, as always, is outstanding!
  9. A failed paint jub caused me to shelve this years ago. Dug it out recently and cut up the roof. I'm thinking roof mounted light bar and a back seat replaced with subs.
  10. That was my first Tamiya kit when I was about 18 or 19. How much were they when they came out, like fifty bucks? That was a lot for a broke college kid but I loved the WR-1. That kit changed my modeling life. I still have it in pieces...my Mom dropped it off a high shelf in about 1980.
  11. Very nice! I have quite a few Tamiya 1/12 kits. They are the best ever.
  12. Nice! Love the blue accents.

    Nemo's car.

I bought it at the Toledo show, probably 10 years ago. I had never heard of it, I just looked in the box at that plating and had to have it. I paid $65.
  14. Yes, it is the kit with working headlights. They still work too! Good thing about the screw bottom kits, you can take it apart to change the battery. And thank you all for the compliments. I'm happy to find a place where I can easily post photos.

    Nemo's car.

Rare kit, not for the faint of heart. Paint is Tamiya White Primer covered with clear. A crazy idea that worked!
  16. Yes, when my hands were steady and my eyesight was sharp! I had not yet started polishing paint yet so that was straight out of a rattle can.
  17. Built from an original kit about 30 years ago. One of my first BMF applications. I even re-chromed the front bumper with it!
  18. My first time back here since I posted this. Thanks for the welcomes. Fun fact; Tom Geiger and I were born on the same day.
  19. ...to introduce myself. Paul from mid Michigan. Building for darn near 50 years. Also into interesting 1:1 cars. I've posted on Hobby Heaven/Spotlight Hobbies for years but it has become so difficult to post photos there that I am giving up. This looks like a good place to post. I'll put up some stuff you may have seen before if you follow Spotlight.
  20. Beautiful paint and stance!
