junkyardjeff replied to junkyardjeff's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers

Its definately bigger then 1.24,I have no idea on what I am going to do with it since its out of scale with any models I have. Its just out of a over 50 year storage. -

It was in a box with built airplanes and a warped 60 Falcon promo. -
I do not know if it was a kit or just a old dime store toy,it has a electric motor and is made of plastic. No manufacture marks at all.

Everything else is mint including the chassis so I am going to see if I can get a newer early 60s falcon body to fit on it. -
Looking through a aunts attic today I found a 1960 Falcon promo that is mint except the body has the usual warping,is there any way to fix the body or time to find a better body.

I had the pinto motor for a few years and thought this would be the kit to use it on,I need to finish the convertible in the background first but was bored with all the rain yesterday.
-
Was hoping to build it as a traditional hotrod but decided to build it as a mid 70s economy hotrod with a pinto motor that ,might look like a late 60s build.

AMT 32 ford 2 door sedan
junkyardjeff replied to junkyardjeff's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
I am going to look into the Revell frames to put this body on,its a shame it does not have a good frame as the body looks good so I will probably build the T first while I gather parts for the 32. -
I picked up this kit today and it looks like I will have to do some parts scrounging to make it as a traditional hotrod ,this kit does not have the gas tank and the frame does not stick out far enough so I was wondering if there is a more original frame and gas tank I could use on it.

AMT '39 / '40 Ford Sedan
junkyardjeff replied to Greg Myers's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Since it really does not make a nice 39 due to the dash and wiper locations if I do not want it as a deluxe I build it as a 40 standard. -
AMT chassis and a Revel body, motor is a AMT FE Ford and will be built as a late 50s/early 60s fender less hotrod. Not sure when I will be able to get back to it since I still have to hunt for a few more parts.

For some reason I thought those tires were special since them and the altered wheelbase 65 Chevelle are the only things I have from those parts I got in 74,I have put them on a bunch of models since then but they are on what they will be staying on.
-
I wish someone would reproduce the tires I have on the rear,I have two sizes of them and make great rear tires. I was told they are from a turbine race car kit from the 60s or early 70s and got eight in a box of parts 40 years ago and those were the last set that were not used.
-
I would have restored it but its really glued togather so it would not come apart easy, thinking about getting a new kit and building a nicer version next winter.
-
I definately would be interested in the flathead and what do you need.

Let's See Some Glue Bombs!

Here is a built 25 model T I picked up about 20 years ago at a garage sale for 10 cents,it was missing the hood and top and about a year ago I found those parts. I added the tires and flathead and might change the motor to a model A motor or if a V860 if one is made in resin, its done and not going to do anything more to it. -
I picked it up built as a stocker at a garage sale for 10 cents about 20 years ago,it was missing the top and hood but I added the tires and flathead motor and forgot about it. About a year ago I picked up a hood and top so I got it back out and added a dropped axle up front and painted the top and hood so its done and no intention of restoring it and will leave it as it is. If I ever find out a V8 60 is made in resin I will get one and install it so I can put in a better firewall or got with a model A motor.
