  1. It is now done
  2. Too nice outside now so nothing going on in the basement but a cold front is coming with more rain and will be colder so I will be in the basement next week, got most of what I need to do so maybe I can finish two models before it stays warm.
  3. I wish it was not ending for me as I have been thinking about how to build the 36 Ford coupe but it will be there waiting for me.
  4. I should get them all painted during the summer months since my basement gets a little damp in the winter and hard to paint and assemble during the winter.
  5. I think I am going to like it.
  6. My modeling season will probably expand when I retire but I still have over 10 years unless I hit the lottery.
  7. I wondered if I should do it but I never built one of these AMT 36s before
  8. That looks great.I recently learned about the metal falling apart and hope none of mine do that now that they do not make them and doubt the lifetime warranty still applies.
  9. It has paint,its a dark maroon.
  10. I have decided to get all the models I started in color so they can be assembled over the summer.
  11. Its not quite over just yet as its raining and will be for most of the weekend so I will be in the basement trying to finish the Chevy stepside, after mid april I will be in the garage much more.
  12. I do a little modeling during the warmer months but the outside activities take top priority.
  13. Tail lights are on so its done, will get hubcaps later
  14. I have to do a cam and intake change on one of my old cars before it comes out in the spring,I heat the garage with kerosene and do not like smelling it any more so now its time to get working on it.
  15. Now that its getting warmer its time to work on the cars in the garage and do some work in the yard,I am going to try to finish the restoration of the MPC 77ish Chevy stepside before I quit for the year and will keep the 36 ford roadster for when it rains and I am bored but doubt it will get finished before it gets cold again. I do most of the building while I am stuck inside for the winter and ready to go outside.
  16. The tail lights arrived this weekend and will be on this week,it will probably stay without hubcaps for awhile since I do not want to buy a kit to get them and will wait until I can get some from Modelhaus.
  17. I went as far as I can go until I find tail lights and hubcaps
  18. The first picture answered my question,it looks like no one noticed the parking lights in the panel under the grille when they appeared in the grille or did not care to change the tooling.
  19. I have the Warlock and LRE versions and noticed that the panel below the grille has parking lights and the grilles also have the parking lights,I have built the longbed 4x4 versions but since it was many years can not remember if they had the parking lights in the grille also. I think that body style came out in 72 and really do not know much about them so trying to figure out when the beginning of those kits were and just what year is the LRE and Warlock supposed to be.
  20. I think I might have some fun with it if I ever get around to it.
  21. I have one of their Rolls Royce that is built and heard its kind of rare and was thinking about modifying it but if it could be worth something I will not do it.
  22. Its in color and the steps for the bed are getting the chrome stripped, will get the rims painted tomorrow.
  23. Just got done using a rattle can on the Dodge truck.
  24. I build in my basement which is damp most of the times so I paint outside most of the time but during the winter I paint at work,I forgot to take the Dodge truck to work so I tried it at home using a heat gun and turned out well. Warmed it up then shot the paint then heated it back up and did not get the usual flat look when there is too much moisture in the air.
