  1. I picked this one up built on Ebay and rebuilt it,I used the 390 from the 34 p/u kit and tried to make it look like a late 60s hotrod.
  2. I did not know a stock version was made and will have to look for one.
  3. I got the idea of taking the Monogram beer wagon Mack truck and making it a more original truck,it will not be 100 percent original but more like a work truck instead of a hotrod so has anyone done it.
  4. I repainted it Testors competition orange and yes the stickers will stay and its getting the 390 from the 34 kit,I am also not touching the interior.
  5. Looks better with the dropped axle and not sure on the motor, might put in a 289 or 302 or the 390 from the 34 p/u kit.
  6. Picked it up off ebay for 5 dollars and it came apart very easy, most was barely glued and I do not think the body and fenders were ever glued togather. I like the orange but can see through it some so it might get paint and a dropped axle up front and put back togather, going to do it like it in a late 60s style.
  7. Starting to look better
  8. My computer is slow on all sites so time to buy another or have the connection checked,I am using ATT Uverse which goes through the phone line which are very old around here and had a bunch of problems when i first started using them.
  9. Chassis is done.
  10. Picked up a dehumidifier and it helps.
  11. Looks great with the extra details.
  12. I am thinking a pearl white interior and top.
  13. It has color and my camera is not that great at close ups,now to figure out what color for the interior.
  14. Got some primer on the body and will get some close up pics of the motor,I am going to paint the body copper if I can find some that I like.
  15. Making some progress on the 70 F100
  16. A couple years ago I picked up a older AMT 28 model A roadster and it is being upgraded to a flathead V8,just getting started and hope to finish before it starts getting warmer as I have about 3 projects going on right now.
  17. I probably would have never built this one if I did not see the other one, seeing it reminded me that I had some junk parts that could be put to use.
  18. Its done for now, would like to find a set or more period correct rear wheels and possibly a windshield but looks like ones I have seen over the years.
  19. Starting to look like something and a fun way to use up parts that are not good enough for nice builds,I have a couple things to add then I can call it done.
  20. Trailer done and need a tool box and gas can so no walking back to the barn when running out.
  21. Do not need no springs on the trailer, just weld the axle to the frame and two unusable 40 Ford rims
  22. Its a good way to use up parts that are not good enough for other builds.
  23. I think I have a located a full hood and might put a roof over the seats to make it a all weather doodlebug if I can find something that I can make a roof out off that would look correct.
  24. Some more progress and can not do more until I hit the hobby shop,I am also going to build a trailer out of a 53 Ford p/u bed I made into a trailer years ago but needed parts off of it so I will have to make a new frame for it. the trailer is going to be cobbled up just like the doodlebug.
  25. I kind of wish I never seen the other build as this one is keeping me off the other projects but I am using up some junk parts that would have never been used.
