  1. It only took me over a year to finish it but its finally done,I was wanting to keep the six in it but I had fit issues with it so it got a 302. I think the six will be going in a 53 p/u.
  2. That six is just too tall so its going to get a 302,I had trouble with it fitting in the truck so it got a 302 too
  3. Was those headers in the original version only,I have never seen them before and have been building them since the early to mid 70s.
  4. I found a Rustoleum dark blue that I like and have sprayed it on a test body to see how it does.
  5. Going to rebuild it as a non police car with the six from the Mobieus F100 to make a base custom granny car,can not understand why this would have a boss 429 since they were never installed from the factory in the full size car. If I can not make the six fit without major modification I will find a 302 to put in it,never seen a six in a 69 or 70 but seen them in 68s.
  6. Found enough parts to build a sedan and coupe with plenty of extra parts, they will probably be next winters projects since I should be out in the garage soon and have a couple to finish.
  7. After getting the 34 p/u wheels off ebay I picked up a parts kit for the front axle.
  8. The 37 axle will not work, the spring is in front of the axle where the 32 to 34 it will be on top. I have one that I am trying to make work.
  9. 34 used wire wheels but AMTs are questionable so I am going to use 40 rims and hubcaps since I have plenty and like them much better, not really going to have everything stock but will have period upgrades.
  10. Motor is in the chassis.
  11. I like that blue and who made it.
  12. The wire wheels arrived and I am not going to use them, they are nothing like the Monogram parts,I did not pay much so no big loss and could definately use the tires that came with them.
  13. Not sure if I want to use the wires and will most likely use steel rims and 40 hub caps with big and little tires,I just can not build completely stock.
  14. The motor is painted and made a air cleaner that looks similar to a original.
  15. Not too impressed with this kit,the inner fenders attach to the frame and are too big and make the front of the body sit too high. Had to do some grinding on them to get it down where it looks better,I built one years ago and probably left those off.
  16. I will check with the hobby shop to see if they can order it.
  17. Building a 34 Ford coupe and want to paint it dark blue, the last time I was at the hobby shop where I buy Tamiya paints I did not see anything close so anyone know of a dark blue similar to Washington blue.
  18. I have a Monogram A motor on the way and if I can find the body parts for the Monogram 34 it will also be built as a 4 cylinder version which might take some time to do.
  19. I started a thread on the build.
  20. The last one I built I used the whole frame from the Revell 40 standard and on the other two I cut up the frames from the monogram 40 p/u for the rear suspension and the front crossmembers.
  21. I got a set of the 34 p/u wire wheels coming and need to find the front suspension.
  22. I have built every 37 kit,all but one got a traditional suspension.
  23. I really wanted to use my Monogram parts but it might take awhile to find the body parts needed so I found a AMT 5 window that had a complete body and a couple A motors at the hobby shop today. Not sure if I am going to use wire wheels or steel rims but have a set of 40 rims.
  24. I picked up a unbuilt AMT 34 5 window that is missing the motor and the suspension for this project along with a couple AMT model A motors.
  25. When you have parts for over 10 years that you think you will never use then give them away and then the need for them arises,it happens all the time in the garage so it should not suprise me that it will happen with model parts too. I had the hopped up 4 banger from a Revell model A kit and I think I gave it to someone on here but now I am building a 34 Ford with a 4 cylinder and would have been perfect for it,I have gotten so much help on here in finding parts so I am glad I could help in getting someone parts they were looking for so its worth it.
