  1. I thought I brush painted it but no brush marks so it must have been one of the first ones I used spray paint on.
  2. Originally built it around the spring of 74 or possibly 73,put a new chassis under it along with a new motor plus stock rims. Motor is the 390 from the 34 p/u kit painted to look like a 1960 360 hp 352 and the exterior paint was decent so it was kept.
  3. Its in color.
  4. I now have a dehumidifier so I should see less problems,I can usually get some good results using automotive paint.
  5. When I get it in my mind to work on one I want to work on it and do not want to wait so I go to the stores and find a color I like and get busy.
  6. I would use more paint designed for models but sometimes I can not get to the hobby shop when they are open so I have to use what I can get.
  7. I should run it but keep forgetting to plug it in when it gets damp but the enamel I am using does not seem to care if its a little damp.
  8. I had issues with the cheap enamels years ago so I started using automotive paint but its just to finicky to use it in my basement,I found some Duplicolor acrylic enamel that was on sale at a local store that I really like but since it was on sale it looks like that store is probably not going to sell it any more. In my some times damp basement that paint went on without blushing like automotive paint does so I am going to see who else sells it and stock up on it if there is some decent colors.
  9. Got a 90s kit on the way.
  10. I would love to see all restored to their original version,I was too young to build them and not going to pay for what original kits go for.
  11. I used that tow bar for a trailer for the doodle bug I built last year but I think it was the last one I had but will try to find one.
  12. I am going to see if I can get another 90s kit for the chassis.
  13. I will probably not use them so I could get rid of them,I am going to keep the interior cover since I do not have a top.
  14. I have two others that I bought built as coupes and one came with the convertible parts, so I bought the 90s chopped top kit and put the chassis on one and then put the convertible parts on the body and installed it on the original chassis.
  15. I have one of those trailers I need to repaint and I would like to have another one of those Dodge trucks but they go for too much money now.
  16. I have never built that race car so it must have been the Dodge trucks.
  17. I picked up some of a Monogram 34 Ford from the early 60s yesterday,I have the cycle front fenders and bobbed rear fenders from this kit but really do not like the looks of them so I am going to hunt for fenders and a hood and make it full fendered.
  18. I pieced this one togather from parts I had and others I scrounged on ebay and other sources,I have a few other kits that need to be built so no more 40s for awhile.
  19. With this project I saved a bunch of parts from going in the trash, its kind of rough but is a beater.
  20. I have this one and two that were never put togather or painted, its been so long since I got them I can not remember what kit they came from.
  21. It might have been easier to do one like that and I found out I had a p/u bed I could have used but its now going to be made into a trailer.
  22. I picked this up at a model show for 3 dollars, not sure what I will do with it since its not 1/25,
  23. I might put a set of hubcaps on it but I only have two in stock.
  24. You might want to look that motor over closely, years ago I built the chopped top 33 coupe that said it had a sbc but it was the Pontiac motor the original 60s kit had made to look like a sbc.
  25. I used the back of the cab from a 53 p/u to close it off and gave up on it a couple times,AMT body and sedan delivery interior and a Lindberg chassis and fenders. Phase II is to build a utility trailer out of a truck bed to hook to it
