  1. Its glued togather except for the chassis since now that a hobby shop opened up that sells parts I am still going to see if I can find the suspension from the 90s kit.
  2. Last year a small hobby shop closed where I used to get my parts from but it has reopened and came home with 3 bags of AMT 40 Ford parts and enough parts to build a standard version of the sedan delivery, now that I can get parts and not have to get them from ebay has made me very happy and the madness can continue.
  3. I am starting to glue it back togather and leave it as a 70s hotrod.
  4. Anyone know if there are parts made to convert a AMT 53 Ford p/u to a 54 or 55.
  5. I messed up the rims so I have to get another can of paint since it took it all to paint it,those Tamiya cans are not that big.
  6. It has color and not sure when it will be assembled since I still have a bunch of stuff to do in the garage and yard,I took advantage of nice weather to,paint outside.
  7. I broke with tradition on the last 40 and installed mag wheels for a late 60s/early 70s look but back to regular programming on this one.
  8. Still waiting on the hubcaps I ordered from Modelhaus before they shut down the website.
  9. I am thinking maroon with a tan interior.
  10. This is going to be the last of the pieced togather builds for awhile, this one is going to look like someone took a stock 40 and installed a 57 T bird 312 back in 57 and lowered it a little in front. Its typical of how I build my 40s as I like the sleeper look.
  11. As soon as I finish a 40 ford coupe I will decide if the wheels and tires stay,I do build a bunch as 50s hotrods so maybe a 70s era hotrod will be ok.
  12. Kind of forgot about this one and thinking about just cleaning it up and putting it back togather.
  13. Its been many years since I built one and see they have been released, the one I built back in the 70s could not have been made 100 percent stock and was wondering if the newer versions can. I have a couple 216 motors from AMT kits I will be using for the motor but might have to come up with more stock looking rims if they do not come with them.
  14. I picked this one up built on Ebay and rebuilt it,I used the 390 from the 34 p/u kit and tried to make it look like a late 60s hotrod.
  15. I did not know a stock version was made and will have to look for one.
  16. I got the idea of taking the Monogram beer wagon Mack truck and making it a more original truck,it will not be 100 percent original but more like a work truck instead of a hotrod so has anyone done it.
  17. I repainted it Testors competition orange and yes the stickers will stay and its getting the 390 from the 34 kit,I am also not touching the interior.
  18. Looks better with the dropped axle and not sure on the motor, might put in a 289 or 302 or the 390 from the 34 p/u kit.
  19. Picked it up off ebay for 5 dollars and it came apart very easy, most was barely glued and I do not think the body and fenders were ever glued togather. I like the orange but can see through it some so it might get paint and a dropped axle up front and put back togather, going to do it like it in a late 60s style.
  20. Starting to look better
  21. My computer is slow on all sites so time to buy another or have the connection checked,I am using ATT Uverse which goes through the phone line which are very old around here and had a bunch of problems when i first started using them.
  22. Chassis is done.
  23. Picked up a dehumidifier and it helps.
  24. Looks great with the extra details.
