  1. More info. https://www.blueovaltech.com/history/1965-ford-trucks.php
  2. I realize this thread is about the "action line" , but , why the cold shoulder to the new '73 Chevy pickups, known as "square doors" in the enthusiast circles. These were among the best selling vehicles in 70's, car or truck. IMO, this easily would have translated to best selling model kits. Yes, No? DId AMT management fall asleep? They gave us the Pinto and Gremelin and Pacers. IMO, poor decisions is why the auto industry and model industry practically collapsed in 1980.
  3. Might find the hood and grill individually on ebay, but, few and far between. You probably have to purchase the whole kit. Frontier Resins offers this subject, but they do require some work. https://www.ebay.com/itm/1957-to-59-ford-pick-up-6ft-bed/333066830450?hash=item4d8c548272:g:r~QAAOSw6WFZ-1ha:rk:16:pf:0
  4. Ready to be shipped to Peterbilt.
  5. X2! The authenticity is incredible!
  6. Great photos everyone. Thinking of a long wheelbase mid 60's 352 for a future build.
  7. Newer style '76 thru late 80's pickups above, nope, never been done before. 3/4 tons are around 12" in 1:1 and 1/2 tons are around 10 " in 1: 1, Another project for Bill Lanfear to come thru for us.
  8. Here are some ideas, substitute the longer California hauler frame in place of short 352 frame, use the narrower front bumper, use painted steel wheels instead of aluminum and replace the V8 with a 6.
  9. Another possibility, the ultimate worker, a 3/4 ton D 200 longbed utiline. Maybe Bill Lanfear can do these never none before 3/4 ton hubcaps for us!
  10. Interesting. There was an episode on Emergency back in the 70's when the squad stalled on left turns also. Something tells me this probably really happened on the show when filming.
  11. Check it out Steve. https://www.ebay.com/itm/1977-DODGE-Pickup-advertisement-Dodge-D100-Pickup-Truck-ad/382742254288?hash=item591d3752d0:g:ypYAAOSwol5YxCUE:rk:32:pf:0
  12. Great job. Very representative of the era! I nominate your Bronco for the new box art cover!
  13. This is definitely the pattern we are seeing, re issues, again, better than nothing. But luckily we have Moebius. Hopefully they are looking at the interest in Dodge pickups to do the '65-'71's
  14. Wow, you got an email back. I tried in July and again in December, no reply. Anyway, it should be on the website by now. At this point, I think I will see Bill's Ford bed before MAD's Ford bed.
  15. Exactly what I was thinking Brad! But, I would pass on the fender skirts.
  16. Vintage box art was always better than the generic stuff put out in later years, but kind of makes you wonder sometimes. A WF SD would be a natural on the pulling end, but chrome rims on CF equipment?
  17. Beautiful job! You dialed in the mid 70's look! Wheels and paint job look great.
  18. Your math is correct if they were 361's, but, they are actually 534' s. I'm thinking tandems would look more balanced. Maybe a concrete mixer?
  19. Looks great! I'm in on a couple for each year available.
  20. Getting closer to completion. More cab and interior details.
  21. Thanks for all the positive comments guys. This was an older build with the simple 2 piece casting ( cab and interior tub ). My next build will be the same subject, but with the newer Dan Models of Romania complete cab kit with several separate high quality pieces. He offers the F 500-F 750 cab and also the heavier F 850-F 950 cab. The heavier model was available with all sorts of diesel engines Cat V8, Detroit V6 or Cummins 6 or V6's
  22. My eyes see 1068 cubic inches! How about an all wheel drive 8X8 conversion while your at it.
  23. Older build of the AITM offering, but got a new load of '64 Fords ( actually some old promos recently purchased as a package deal ).
  24. L9000 conversion with updated grill and bumper
