  1. 60-'62 1/2 + 3/4 tons used rear coils, '63-'66 1/2 + 3/4 tons used rear leaf springs. All 4x4 and 1 tons used rear leaf springs.
  2. Your right, very small, decals would be great too. Here are a couple of photos of the V6 which may help. IMO, these should have been called the Y6
  3. Count me in on a GMC conversion kit! All the pieces look great. There are two other small items you might want to consider to make 100% complete. The Custom trim package included a small emblem on the rear pillar behind door window and some GMC hubcaps ( basically Chevy hubcaps without the bowtie, just the GMC letters in the center)
  4. I emailed them back in july when you mentioned this earlier, but, they never responded to my email. Hard to believe Morgan hasn't listed this much sought after item on the site yet.
  5. Why a '78 D 100? Why not the earlier, and IMO, better looking '72-'73 or '74-'76?
  6. Real trucks have full floating axles! We are very fortunate to have quality aftermarket vendors like Fireball! Received the conversion kit today, it is excellent!
  7. '64-'66 Custom Cabs used argent gravel shields. '61-66 standard cabs and '61-'63 Custom Cabs used body colored gravel shields. A deviation occurs when a standard cab truck got upgraded with the chrome grill ( technically anodized aluminum), you'll see body colored gravel shield under a chrome grill. The inside of bed on tu tone pickups was lower body color, except for a thin strip of white around the inside top edge. Faded out blue '65 F 250 l in Atmobil post has the correct 2 piece inner bump 16" wheels that originally came with Camper Specials.
  8. Excellent job! Looks very nostalgic, like the tires, wheels and color choice.
  9. Same problem Terry, sent email 2 weeks ago for parts, no reply.
  10. Good idea with the black around headlights and reflectors, would offer more depth and detail, than just adding silver paint and clear lenses. Hood detailed with emblems and scoop! Went for the municipal theme, following the paint scheme of the City of Detroit '57 garbage truck Dept. of Public Works.
  11. Nice work Sergey! Your scratch building work is very impressive. About the wheels, it appears you are using European style rear wheels, they have a larger center hole and larger lug pattern than American trucks.
  12. Great new items. There is also a '56 Ford F 800 AITM came out with recently. F 800 is single axle, T 800 would be tandem axle. Will be my next build!
  13. Looks great, I like the stance, maybe some 22" rubber would fill up the fenders a little more. The L 700 is a great donor for exactly this type of vehicle. I like to keep an eye out for damaged die cast trucks also for donor parts, the die cast White 3000 comes with a super detailed flat head six.
  14. The '61-'66 F 250 4x4 as well as the '61-'65 F 100 4x4 used the older style box's, 8' Flareside ( not available ) or the older 8' Styleside ( not available, unless you purchase the old AMT '60 Ford pickup kit and hacksaw the bed off). These were high floor cabs, not low floors cabs used on '65 and '66 F 100 and F 250 2wd twin I beam trucks. The only conversion possible would be building a '66 F 100 4x4 ( these had low floor cabs, same as '65 and '66 F 100 and F 250 2wds) with the '70 4x4 frame as a donor. Fireball's 8 lug wheels are post '67 bump style wheels used in '67 and newer F 250's, pre '67 F 250's used the old style inner bump 8 lug wheels ( these wheels have never been done by anyone). Hopefully Fireball can offer these inner bump style 8 lug wheels too ( 16" 17.5" or 19.5"). First photo '66 F 100 4x4. Second and third photos are '65-'66 F 250 4x4's ( same body styles as '61-'64 F100 F 250 4x4's) . 4th photo 19.5" 8 lug inner bump wheel ( done in 1/16, never done in 1/25)
  15. Excellent fab work! A conversion kit with all the necessary pieces offered together would be a big hit! One other item that would be nice would be a small rear window conversion plate that could be glued in the back of the, IMO, over rated big back window option, which seems to pop up in almost every 50's-60's Chevy pickup kit.
  16. Construction yellow paint finally on cab, grill and bumper off white. Interior just about done
  17. The ' original 60 Ford pickup seems to be very collectable, they routinely sell for $100 in glue bomb condition, but I'm really getting tired of the '60 front end. IMO, a '59 front end conversion would be a big improvement, the only different parts would be the hood, emblems, grill, separate bumper and gravel shield.
  18. Will add on the to Ford resin wishlist since there are so many pickup kits out there. The 8' Flareside and 9' Flareside (F 350) would really open build opportunities for '53 thru '79 models.
  19. IH trucks do have a big following, even though they stopped making pickups in '75. Here is a model ahead of its time, a 1 1/2 ton without the big wide fenders and running boards found in other period trucks.
  20. '73-'79 Ford 8' Styleside. '59 Ford pickup front end conversion, '67-'72 Chevy C 60, '60-'80 GMC tilt cab. White Freightliner cabover '61- '69.
  21. Its not the rear suspension, the problem with the kit is the way the bed attaches to rear of frame. You must prop the rear of the bed up until the lines of cab continue a straight line to the lines of the bed. If built according to instructions, you will build the truck with a broken back. Notice the gap between cab and bed. Wide at top, narrow at bottom. Keep the gap equal, you'll solve the problem.
  22. IMO, the front fenders are the biggest flaw in the kit, they are too short, causing a large gap between bumper, they should come down level with bottom of radiator. P + P resins show correct fenders on their site, but they don't respond to emails?
  23. Here is a visual of a '64, same cab lines as '65-66,. It does appear the arch is the same both front and rear of cab. The black and white photo is a '65 when virtually brand new, another history lesson for Moebius, note again, carry over rims with carryover hubcaps from '64.
  24. I see the '65 has '66 hubcaps and wheels? Check out the 61-66 1:1 reference section.. The grill and the '66 hubcaps look excellent, very nicely done.
  25. Great photo, thanks for posting! We can pin point above photo to year model to '63. More GMC reference for '64.
