  1. Check out the 1:1 Truck Reference Pictures section for '61-'66
  2. Any update on when these will be available Danny? These are a big deal, big plastic never offered these 2 ton rims. This would be a natural for the Dodge L 700 ( the original IMC box art showed these rims) and the Ford Louisville or C series .
  3. I agree, in the early days, AMT had some great box art, but unfortunately it went sour. Hope the wrecker has the longer wheelbase as the photo depicts. No, I won't hold my breath, another modification by the modeler is necessary for that to become reality!
  4. Nice build for an old classic. Very realistic looking, right down to the painted rings on the front rims.
  5. Another awesome old school fleet truck! The KJ tires are the icing on the cake!
  6. Nice projects! I agree, Moebius filled a big void, and greatly appreciated by folks that have been waiting a long time for these offerings. The Fireball upgrade to 3/4 ton is an excellent option for your super realistic looking '70 workhorse. The '66 is a big deal also, the divorced cab ( compared to the '61-'63 unibody) opens up a lot of build opportunities for this classic.
  7. X2! Looks great! Been waiting on a set of these . Appear to be the 20" size used on 2 tons.
  8. Excellent reference material mk11. Correct up to '64 F100 and F 250 2WD pickups, however Ford continued to use solid front axles on '65 and '66 F 350 pickups ( with 9' beds ) and chassis cabs. A good heavy duty solid axle 3/4 ton or 1 ton frame really does not exist in plastic.
  9. Inspired by Warren D's build, I decided to convert this '57 Ford Custom Cab into a refuse hauler. The packer body actually is a good fit for a lighter duty 1 - 1 1/2 ton truck. Details: Monogram garbage truck, frame, fuel tanks and 5 speed trans from Dodge L 700, aftermarket resin cab and wheels, rear fenders modified from White Freightliner splash guards, period correct Ford crest tail lights from Revell '56 F 100 and 272 V8 from a parted out first gear '56 F 100.
  10. I agree, depends on what it is. Case in point, Fireball offered an F250 4x4 conversion for the Mobius F100 4x4, result, he sold out quickly.
  11. I agree, with all these re issues out, you would think the casters would see this as an opportunity. Mentioned before , but here it goes, Louisville L front end with updated bumper and grill, mid 60's White Freightliner cabover single or dual headlight option, mid 60's Autocar highway front end with standard axle setting, mid 60's Kenworth and ' mid 60's Pete cabovers.
  12. IMO, AMT really dropped the ball back in the mid 70's on this one. The '73-'78 longbed fleetside ( the best selling GM product of the era ) should have been offered immediately after the period Ford pickup came out. Oh well, the MPC 1/25 re issue ( '78 version with a stock pieces ) would be a great seller! No interest in '81 and newer.
  13. Thanks for posting revue. Very impressed with the quality of pieces and way it came together. He did mention possibilities of the creation of a F 200 and F 300, meaning F 250 F 350 . The F 250 would be a very easy do when the standard 8' bed is issued ( definitely will buy several of this issue Moebius ), but the F 350 would require much more work. Ford kept the old school straight front axle and leaf springs for '65 and '66 F 350's, also front fenders have a larger cut out wheel opening, used '63 style emblems, and 6 lug wheels..
  14. Yes! Hopefully Fireball Resins can do these caps and possibly some nice 9.50- 16.5 bias ply highway tires and offer them with his excellent 8 lug 16.5" rims he already offers with the F 250 4x4 conversion kit.
  15. Now is the time to get the ball rolling, we are getting a lot of old re issues and many feel the need to spice things up!
  16. Good idea, transfer dumps are real popular in the west, however another void by big plastic. I bet there is a nice market for this popular never offered before equipment. How about a transfer dump kit ( dump and pup trailer } that will install on any 3 axle tractor Moebius? Good luck, there will be a lot of scratch building on this one!
  17. Done is 1:18 scale diecast https://www.ebay.com/itm/NIB-Good-Humor-Ice-Cream-Truck-1-18-Sun-Star-USA-Collectibles-1965-Ford-F100/163628108817?_trkparms=aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.SEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D56111%26meid%3D3552b60348d546488e0f4284878d1cc4%26pid%3D100675%26rk%3D5%26rkt%3D15%26sd%3D223451982412%26itm%3D163628108817&_trksid=p2481888.c100675.m4236&_trkparms=pageci%3A2898299e-5896-11e9-bf51-74dbd180f654|parentrq%3Af3d1068b1690aa4874c081a6fff6b3f4|iid%3A1
  18. Another more thing to consider, the Revell '56 has the interior floorboard molded to the frame, however the AMT '53 floorboard is separate. The '60 cab may sit on the '56 floorboard with some modification.
  19. The '57 Ford car engine would be fine, the 312 is a slightly larger cube version than the 292, pretty much indentical in appearance to the 292, however I believe the 312 has better exhaust manifolds and a 4 BBL carb.
  20. The AMT '53 or Revell '56 pickups would have the same suspension system as the '60, but, yes, would need to be lengthen. The Y block can be sourced from the '56 Ford pickup. The period straight 223 six, used between '54-'64, was never offered by big plastic.
  21. Excellent build! Attention to authentic details of the actual vehicle is very impressive.
  22. Very much improved version of the original, very nice work. For 1/25 builders, AITM now offers the '56 F 800.
  23. This is the one I've been waiting for, the longbed styleside! Hopefully, it is the longbed like the photo depicts. It appears to be taken from a Ford ad, which practically always used Custom Cab longbeds, but the color was changed from Marlin Blue to Tropical Turquiose. But, Moebius does have a history of using box art that doesn't match reality.
  24. Thanks Force, I thought so. Bias truck tires have so much more character than modern smooth sidewall radials. I bet if there was a season 3, the Movin On KW would have had solid wheels on 24.5" radials
