  1. Are you looking for something like this? Its from C1 Models Bumblebee transkit, When I ordred it I also ordered an extra grill & bonnet, alas I snapped the spare grill I had by accident & the 67 bonnet didnt fir the profile of the 69 Camaro I wanted to use. bit of a waste of money... He doesnt list it on his website as being able to purchase seperatly, but you could always contact Chris, hes always been awesome to deal with. http://www.c1-models.com/resin/bumblebee-67-camaro
  2. Hey Guys Its been a busy summer for me, managed to get 10 projects (mostly) painted up over my summer holiday, including this one! Heres a few pics of where Im at at the moment. Still not finished, I need to cleanup the edges of the black. I painted the body White, & decided to use the kit decal stripes as they had nice rounded corners & looked nicer than my masking effort, I did have to paint the roof strip however. Also painted the front lights area & around the rear lights similar to the 1:1. Also still needs a final Matte clearcoat Engine, brakes & roll cage where painted Chevy Engine Red I am liking the ZL1 wheels in black, yet to do a mockup so we'll see. More coming soon!! Ash
  3. Hey Guys! Been awhile since i last updated this thread, ive been on my summer holiday, had 3 weeks off work with plenty of jobs to do around the house & plently of time (& perfect weather) for model painting! I planned to get 7 kits all painted up ready to be assembled & ended up with 8 kits painted & 2 left to paint the bodys on... Bumblebee being one of them! He certainly took quite a bit of work to get painted. I tried to keep the undercut on the sides but my plan didnt work & I lost it. oh well, it still looks good without it. Had to fill in all the seam & panel lines too. Bumblebee got a healthy coat of gloss black ready for the decals & will be clearcoated matte once theyre on. I left the flares off the body for now as they are glossy carbon fibre & dont want to risk masking the clearcoated carbon flares. Everything for the exterior of the car has been painted, & just needs final clearcoats (Gloss & Matte) I still havent started on the interior, thats a job for next week. I'll get some better pics of more of the parts in the next few days & hopefully get some decals on!!! Stay tuned Ash
  4. No I hadnt seen those before, theyre pretty awesome! Cheers!!!! I think id only really be able to use the smallest ones tho. I was looking at getting the A+ Club chrome stickers https://www.mediamixhobby.com.sg/shop/acms017.html but might get these instead
  5. Cheers! Great Idea, I might give that a go!
  6. Hey Guys Finally starting on this project. Building Bumblebee from Transformers 4 (well the beginning anyway, until he turned into the 2016 concept...) Its a pretty bad ass design, mostly stolen from the guy who built the Vengence Camaro. But thats a whole other story... Car was recently sold at Scotsdale Barret & Jackson auctions, seller was Micheal Bay who directed the Transformers movies I love the mix of Matte Black & Glossly Carbon Fibre. Almost 2 yrs ago I quickly snapped up one of C1 Models resin transkits. & finally managed to pick up the plastic kit that it goes with. Little dispointed with the fit, some of the parts seem a little small, but im sure i'll manage to make it work. Contents of the Transkit I love these wheels! There so awesome & massive!!! 3x larger than the stock wheels. Bumblebee is a restomod & had a modern engine & a more modern interior which I'll try to replicate. Ive got some spares from my Camaro SS-x Build (still slowly being worked on), mostly the engine & the seats. Ive got to scratchbuilt the centre consol & modify the dash. & build a Tigercage too. engine is from Revell 08 Camaro SS, not sure if this is 100% accurate but loos good enough to me. & this is where Im at, aside from widening the bonnet ive attached the lower valance. needed to be cut into 3 pieces to fit properly. Still plently of work to do. I do have a question for you guys tho, Im trying to replicate the side undercut (where the chrome trim goes) its been removed on the 1:1, but Revell has molded it inplace. ANy ideas whats best to do? I had thought of just sanding it off & not worrying about the undercut line, but thought I might give it a go. Hopeing to get this one all painted up over the christmas holidays, (great time to get some painting done down at the bottom of the world, sunny & hot) Ash
  7. Great work finshing her off!!! It looks awesome!!!! Great job!
  8. Hey Guys Always liked the SS-X concept & wanted to build one, but decied to make a few changes along the way. I'm not going for an accurate replica, but it will look similar & be more grunty!!!! Base kit is Revells Camaro SS, & ive got an old momogram Chevy NAStruck for parts. Wheels are undecided at this point, currently using AMT ZL1 wheels but am considering Plamoz's Corvette Cup wheels which are similar to those used on the SSX Racecar will be motivated by the old NAStruck's Engine, kinda the opposite of RestoModing.... putting an old engine into a newer car.... Interior is striped out racecar, I used the horizontal bars from the NAStruck & scratchbuilt the rest The exhaust is from the NAStruck too, which necessitated modifying the chassis & removal of the stock exhaust pins I Wanted to change the bonnet to incorporate a larger bulge & also really like the hood vents on Bumble Bee from Transformers 2 There's still so much to do, nothing in the photos is ready to be painted, lots of sanding ahead!!! Stay Tuned!! Ash
  9. Love it! Looks awesome in a Matte Finish!!
  10. Great work!!! Man I found the seats so difficult to do, each one had like 27 decals that needed applying!!! I love yours it looks amazing, Great stuff!!!
  11. Great work so far, love the colour!!!
  12. Hey Mate Yip thats the one, Ive also got their Interference Blue, & I tried the silver dust but it just didnt look that great. Keen to try some fo the other colours, I also see that MrHobby have a paint range of these too in liquid form. MrCrystal, theres a few extra colours I might have to pickup http://www.bnamodelworld.com/hobby-model-paints-thinners-paints-gsi-creos-gunze-mr-crystal
  13. Oh man I'd love to see one of these in the flesh, & thats one of the better ones too! & the one I based mine off of!
  14. Cheers! lol, yeah that part seams to have been forgotten about. But i guess when only 6-7 people actually finish before the dealine & in only 2 of the prize catergories, its hard to determine a winner... Loved your Huracan!!!
  15. Cheers, Yeah I did seriously consider this, I had seen a GTR built with Matte Carbon fenders & thought that was pretty cool. Still considering doing that to the Audi R8 LB works I want to get.
  16. Cheers! I Do indeed, it was a fun little quick build, the wheels on it are awesome!! Actually pretty sad story about those cool little cars, some Australian company had brought all of them from the 1 make race series, & they were all sitting at the port waiting to be put on the ship to Aussie when the Japan Tsunami happened a few years ago, the whole lot were destroyed! ( if my memory serves me correctly from a few years ago)
  17. Hey Guys Been working on this one for awhile, Its a Tamiya R35 GTR with Eightyone's LB Widebody kit. Ive also used Eightyones Brixton 21" wheels, although the tires where rubbish 19" tires stretched over the 21" wheels, So I replaced them with C1 Models 20" tires instead, much better looking & heaps wider!. Other Mods include converting the intake to HKS GT800 spec, Seibon Carbon Bonnet & Carbon rearseat delete. Transkit came with Bride (?) seats & I also changed the exhaust to a resin MCR exhaust from A+ club. Colour is Interference Violet clearcoat powder over R35 Midnight Purple. Had a few issues with this but ended up not too bad. Reasonably happy with the result. Let me know what you think! I used Need For Speed to modify to what I wanted then built it. Heres what I started with & the Result. (changed a few things along the way, but more or less similar to my NFS car) The colour really changes depending on what type of light is around, heres a pic under halogens Interior Hanging out with the rest of the R35 Clan Hanging with my other LB build, one more to come too! Thanks for looking, let me know what you think. Cheers Ash
