Hey Guys, Ive made some progress over the last week & redone some progress Id previously made too. First, I made up the Tigercage Roll bar system, Got the engine glued in, modified interior to suit the gearbox & modified the 67 kits exhaust to suit. Then I wasnt happy with how close the engine was to the front, so i removed it & moved it backwards by 6mm which looks heaps better. But now I have to re-modifiy the interior & exhaust... Engine in original position. ended up too close to radiator Couldn't make an intake New position Exhaust system

Firstly cheers to Photobucket for ruining everything Ive ever posted. Rather than try to update each post heres a bulk one with where Im up to. Body painted, decaled & clearcoated. Engine is coming along too. Interior is almost done with just the rollcage & dash to finish. I'm trying to get it finished for a local Model show 1st October. More frequent updates to follow, cheers Ash

Made a bit of colour progress over the weekend, Im using different finishes of black, so its not all matt black on matt black... I also wanted to throw some more yellow in so painted the engine block yellow, I kinda like it, its a bit different. I needed to get the headers painted & attached to the engine with the engine seated before I can finish the rest of the exhaust system, so theyve been painted with Model Master Stainless Steel buffing (a product Ive fallen in love with!!) Most of the interior has been painted either Matt or satin black Plasticoat, might tone down the seats a bit yet. Tonight's task is to make the rollbar & complete the dash.

Hey Before you paint it black, BumbleBee had most of his panel gaps filled in, like the one on the nose. From what I found, the only panel gap that was left seperate was the one infront of the windscreen.

Made a little progress with the Centre consol in Bumblebee, I ended up destroying the radio that was molded in the Camaro dash, so I'm gonna use one from an old NSX / 300zx. the rest will be an ipad display. Funnily enough I put the movie on over the weekend, watched all the scenes with bumbleebee as the 67 camaro, which ends up being very little, the movie car didnt have the yellow rollcage, the dash doesnt look like the movie cars dash. So theres a pit of creative licence that i can take.... Chassis is ready for paint, I've filled all unnecessary holes & made mounts for the engine. Next up is the rollcage

That is BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH cool!!! Great work, love the colour too!!!

Also gonna give the hidden lights a try, Ive got a spare grill from when I first ordered the set, I ended up snapping the piece in half trying to bend it to fit better, so I'll glue it back together & cut the ends out.

Most of my progress lately has been fidling around getting the engine in the right spot, & working on suspension geotrmy. I have made a bit of progress with the interior, the seats needed sanding down to fit & had to curve the inside edge to allow enough room for the roll bar. Ive got the dash trimmed out & have started mocking up the centre consol.

Great Work, looking good! Have you decided on a colour yet? I built the coupe version a few years ago, used a transkit to build the Stradale Version one of my fav models to date, will be staying glued to this.

This was a nice quick build, I mostly did it as a test for the Pearl powders I'd just recieved. Played around with mixings different colours & different pearls with differing clearcoat finishes. Made a few mods to it, like the spoiler & front lip, also swapped the wheels over to something a tad better looking.

Hey Guys This is my build for the Camaro 50th Anniversary build. Revell 69 Camaro ZL1 kit, with a few modifications to the body like removing all chrome edging & drip rails, modified the bonnet & scratchbuild the spoiler & exhaust, & opened up the grill. Seats are from a Xmas competition , from Clearly scaled VW golf seats Wanted a NASCAR-esq look to it so used some NASTruck wheels with tyres from a Nissan 240Z. Body is painted GM Synergy Green with Alclads Light Sheen clear coat (Satin finish) I wanted to build a old school car to match my newer gen 2013 ZL1 (also built for a group build) Didnt really have a great time with this kit, nothing fitted properly, I fogged the glass with super glue, even got a glue finger print on windscreen for the first time in 15yrs. Thought I was going to break the body getting the chassis in. Not 100% happy but Its done.

Looking good! Love the Toyota GT1, was one of my fav builds Ive done! Thought i was almost on the finishing line, then like Toyota in 2016 victory was crulely taken from me. Fitted the body & the closed door to the chassis, then thought it'd be a case of slapping the wheels on her & calling it done, but no, (well yes i could, but it simply wouldnt look right) Ive build this kit as per the instructions, everything lines up perfectly, but the ride height is unbelievable! these are the tires supplied in the kit, this is suppose to be a racecar kit! & the ride height is 220mm (8.6 inches)!!!!!! I dont even think my work van has that kind of road clearance!!! So Ive got some work to do, Ive found a better set of tires from a Tamiya Merc SLR which fit the oversized wheels, just not quite as wide but have tread instead & theyre lower profile too.
