  1. Cool subject!!! Will definitely follow along! Didn't one of the Top Gear crew use this in one of their challenges?
  2. These 2 sets of wheels from Fujimi which are kind of similar. https://www.bnamodelworld.com/model-cars-motorcycles-parts-decals-fujimi-models-fj-193113 These are close but 1 too many spokes https://www.bnamodelworld.com/model-cars-motorcycles-parts-decals-fujimi-models-fj-193236 Kinda surprised Scale Production dont do a transkit or wheels, they do heaps of other Porsche stuff. You could maybe do the Cup wheels instead. http://www.scaleproduction.de/index.php?cat=c10_Wheels-Tires-1-24-Wheels-Tires-1-24.html&listing_sort=&listing_count=96 Good luck, I hope you build it!
  3. Cheers to David & Rene, this was awesome to build alongside you two. Really enjoyed it, definitely keen to give it a go another year. Maybe when I have more free time. I'll get my F1 wrapped up this week, might add things like seatbelts etc. On another note, what a great race LeMans was! So stoked that 2 Kiwis won! I did manage to watch the last 30mins thanks to my 2yr who woke me up, here's a pic of where everything is at as of this morning
  4. Well I think I'm beaten... with less than 3hrs to go I've got too much to do. & im pretty knachered, it's been a long day! i did complete the interior & chassis, but there's just too much extra stuff to do. I think I could do it if I my kids were a bit older, I spent a lot of time playing with them today, plus cooking lunch & dinner. Another year maybe
  5. Oh man the Merc Lizard looks awesome!!! ive managed to get everything painted & clearcoated, now it's just detail painting & assemblely. gonna be a long night, 6hrs to go!
  6. Got some orange on, needs a final coat, using Zero Paints McLaren Orange, next up is everything else that needs painting
  7. It's 2am NZ Time, 1 hour of the race down & ive started already. I did make a few mods yesterday, I wanted to open the engine bay windows & had to remove the moulded in electrical units in the right hand interior. So did some filling & primer to check my work.
  8. Great Idea!!! I'd love to join ya, but sadly being on the opposite side of the world the race starts 1am on Sunday & then Ive got work on Monday, I dont think I could get one done in less than a day., but I'll give it a go! I've got a McLaren F1LM I want to build, so perfect opportunity! Its a Fujimi Kit & simplified quite a bit. I was gonna go hard & CF everything but I dont think I'll have time for that!
  9. Bummer about the bonnet decal Imtmd8r! Looking good tho! I'm slowly getting there with my 69 ZL1, its fighting me tho, first model in 15yrs that ive ended up with a glue smear on the windscreen. Had the windscreen inplace, picked it up thinking it had been 5 mins I can move it out of the way to dry. & then the BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH thing slipped down & left glue all over one side of the windscreen! So a week later i tried again. Hoping to get this one finsihed up over the weekend & off my bench. Also spent alot of time last night to open the grill, sanded the back of the plastic part to thin it down, I reckon it looks pretty good & should add that something extra to the front end. Half & half Looks pretty good to me, needs a wash & a repaint & then it'll go in. Ash
  10. Hey Guys Finally finished up my Camaro SSX, its losely based on the SSX Concept but with more of a racecar feel. I used the Revell kit, & used parts from an old junker Chevy NASTruck with some scractbuild & Modified parts. Wheels are from AMT Camaro ZL1. Painted White & black with ALclad Matte Klear Kote & Chevy Engine Red highlights. Fought me all the way, esp the rear suspension, glad its done on to the next one! Loosely based on this concept Hanging with "big brother" WIP http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/118168-camaro-ss-x/ Cheers for looking Ash
  11. She Fought me all the way but finally its complete!!! cheers for watching Link to Completed http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/123997-camaro-ss-x/ Ash

  13. Great job on both, they look amazing!!!
  14. Great Job! The Wheels really set it off!
  15. Great work as per usual Paul!
  16. Spend a few hours last night fighting with the rear suspension & brakes but finally Im happy with the ride height. Now to clean her up & finish her off!!
  17. Came out looking Great! Love the Gold youve used!
  18. I manged to get a little bit done on my ZL1 over the weekend. Decided black on black on black was a tad boring so went with 2 tone on the seats & then that carried onto the doors etc, also decided to do green piping & highlights etc, just did it with a brush, first time trying it, came out ok. most of its hardly gonna be seen anyway. Seats aren't your usual Camaro fare, they're from Clearly Scale, Mk5 Golf GTi seats I believe, I won them in a xmas comp.
  19. Great build! Looks amazing without the bumpers! Ive just picked up this kit too, incredible quality, only thing missing I fell is a set of luggage to go behind the driver. (which someone sells in resin, just cant remember who)
  20. Been working on some of the finer details. Also got the body mounted, but now im unhappy with the rear ride height. sigh more modifying to do Hopefully I'll get stuck in tonight & get those rear wheels sitting where I want them Ash
