Awesome build, looks great!

I'm totally in on this, guess i should as it spawned off my 4cyl idea. For this years build, I've enlisted/succonded/detained/blackmailed a couple of Russian blokes to help me piece the car today, Meet Sergei Fedorov & Alexei Ovechkin (bonus points to anyone who guesses whom they really are...but dont tell Customs...) I had my own plans of a hybrid Camaro or Spoon S2000 but the Soviets reckon they've found the perfect car. Enter their find on Craigslist.... Might need a bit of work. Its a Nissan S13 Silvia imported from Japan some years ago & left in a bush. Sergei got stuck in & striped it back to bare metal (plastic) after it arrived in the workshop, (now the garden bin needs collecting...) They were a little disappointed once they popped the hood to discover there was no engine, Sergei suggested an LSX V8 swap, but Alexei said leave it to him, hes headed off to craigslist to acquire some more parts & get stuck in. Hopefully the boys will be back at it shortly, they've got a plan. a mad wild plan that requires alot of work. Stay tuned.... Ash

Hey mate, Nah Ive decided to leave it as a 2 door, which makes things heaps easier. But I am considering this for a future build..... 2018 Velociraptor 6x6!!! Pretty cool!!! Ive finally finished the front bumper, going to prime it this weekend to check all the joints & then work on filling in the gaps. Oh I do still have the lights to do & tow hooks. Pretty happy with how its come out so far, its slightly deeper than it should be (0.5mm deeper than stock bumper) but still looks pretty good. Now onto the rear bumper which should hopefully be eaiser

Lets not Forget Tamiyas range of inline engines. just off the top of my head. R32 GTR, Supra, 2000GTR, Merc SLR, Celica, Mini, Lotus 7 + heaps of others, & then theres the Revell kits that are pretty cheap, things like Honda Civics, integras, eclipse, Evo7, all come with decent engines that could easly be transplanted into any car, add a turbo or 2 & boom, faster than a V8.... The Aftermarket offer a fair few engines too, Eightyone has a few, hobby design have a couple too. Cant wait for this one, I think it'll be awesome!

Awesome! Time to start planning, now do I go with what I've got at home or buy copious aftermarket parts that I don't currently have... decisions decisions..... Spoon S2000 or Hybrid Camaro.....

I vote inliners, If you add the 5 votes for 4cyl only to the inliners votes, its a vast majority.

Hey Mate, the Wheels i used are Aoshima SSR Professor SP3 19" wheels, Theyre pretty good, theyre molded in 1 piece tho, hard to paint 2 tone, & they come with the VIP/Stance tires that put them on an angle with enough camber, not enough to be stupid but enough to look nice... Link to unboxing https://www.google.co.nz/search?q=aoshima+wheels+ssr&safe=off&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjwmren_ZbXAhWKFpQKHbLgDfQQsAQIJg&biw=1745&bih=863#imgrc=vJ_6ygzrHl5V4M: Ash

Oh Man, know youve started on a Tamiya / Fujimi / Aoshima kit you'll never look back! Perfect parts fit, little flash, great detail & all those little detail things like metal emblems, mesh etc. Ive built 2 of the Tamiya kits, both have turned out great, never had a problem with either of them. This is my 300zx convertable lowered on 19"s, such a great looking car that only needs wheels to be changed.

Hey Guys Thought I would share my latest WIP, Its only early days at this stage, got the framework for the front bumper started last night, have drawn up a template for the shape of it. I'm wanting to build something like this. It featured on an episode of Top Gear (when Top Gear was Top Gear...) Clarkson drove it up a snowy hill. Heres Stig drifting it around the track! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3iSftD0j2zY I'll be using Revells Snap Kit F150, which is a really decent kit esp for the price! The hardest part is fabricating the front bumper, with all the flat surfaces & angles. But i;m keen to give it go. I havent been able to find anything close to the proper wheels, But I do have these 2, One on the left is from Scenes Unlimited & the 18" Dupond wheel is from Fujimi More progress soon Ash
