  1. Great Builds! Love that MR2, looks awesome!
  2. Great work! Its an awesome little kit that one!
  3. I kinda agree with Jantrix, youve got a pretty average kit & if your not a modeler its gonna be hard. Zoom on sell a wing that pretty similar to the one on the Gold car, http://www.zoomonmodel.com/z004 Another thing tho is the Gold Supra has a clear section in the bonnet, pretty sure the kit just gives you a decal. Which isnt entirely wrong, there was only 1 show quality car used for the beauty shots that had the proper engine with all the shiny bits you can see, the other cars used for the race have a poster print under the clear perspex to save costs. Ive got a book on the cars from the first 2 movies, really interesting stuff too, the RX7, the S2000 & supra were all from the first movie & modified for 2Fast 2Furious, good way of saving money & speeding up production! Good luck with your build!
  4. Ive finally got some progress on my ZL1. Got it painted & clearcoated a week or so ago, found some replacement seats & have started reworking the exhaust. heres a few pics of how she looks at the moment. Painted Camaro Synergy Green with Alclad Light Sheen Clearcoat (semi gloss) More pics next week Ash
  5. Great work! & in only 8 hrs! Last time I tried to build a kit over a weekend it ended up taking 4 months...
  6. Got a bit done last night. Pieced the interior together. Mounted the wired engine inplace & started working on the body, had a bit of an issue with the rear decklid decal lifting under the clearcoat, so ive had to touch it up, doesnt look too bad. Knew I shouldve painted it.... Hopefully finish her off over the weekend! Ash
  7. Man thats looking Good! Love the CF & the Colour!!!
  8. Started working on this one again. The headers from the NASTRUCK engine interfered with seating the engine correctly, so I made new ones from Solder. Started work on mounting the engine in the right spot Since my last update, Ive clearcoated the body Matte using Alclads Matte Klear Kote, now just working on sorting the ride height. Slowly getting there, I'm gonna wire the distrupter & change the intake i think. Plus ive still got the interior to piece together. Stay tuned Ash
  9. Looks great! Love the colour youve used!
  10. Great work, the colour looks amazing, Really nice clean build!!!
  11. Cool build!
  12. Cheers mate, yeah the indicators are decals from the kit, which reminds me I must apply some smoke over them, theyre quite bright. Went together ok, i had a review in a magazine close at hand so I already knew the pitfalls of the kit & what to expect.
  13. Thats a same you had trouble with it, I loved the colours you've used, It looks amazing in the pics!
  14. Thanks, its a pretty amazing artwork i found online, I spent hours adding 'Banky's above the graffiti but they havent appeared in any photos Ive taken so far... time well spent... Cheers guys!
  15. Cheers Guys! I won the battery in the Scaled World Xmas Giveaway, I got 12th & won a pair of seats & 3 Optima Batteries, both are from Clearly Scaled.
  16. Great work as per usual, Love the colour!
  17. Looking Good, Love the colour!!!
  18. Well I managed to make the dealine, with 2 hrs & 18mins to spare! More pics in the completed section
  19. This is my build for the VCG Resins Facebook Nova Build. Which I managed to complete with 2hrs & 18mins to spare (NZ Time anyway) Kit is Revells 69 COPO Nova. Modified to resemble Brian Scotto's (Hoonigan's Creative director, the guy behind Ken blocks amazing videos) Napalm Nova. Modified the bonnet to include the bulge, scratch-built the exhaust, roll-bar, steering wheel & interior junk. Wheels are from eightyone & modified to look better. Painted gloss black with Alclad Matte Klear Kote with custom alps printed decals. Take a look & let me know what you think. & Heres the 1:1 - Mines a more cleaned up version & less rough. Cheers Ash
  20. In the spirit of the race, theyre not exactly obeying speed limits either, so I reckon leave it as is. Looking good! My Subaru BRZ is slowly going nowhere, got stuck on the front lights / bumper & other projects. Hopefully more soon. Ash
  21. Looking Good Mate, keep up the good work!
  22. Cheers Guys Late last night after my roof issue, I quicky got to work in fixing it... I managed to rub most of it off then used my fingernail to remove the remaining debris. It left scratches etc, so a quick sand, mask & lightly resprayed with Alclad Matte Klear Kote. Im reasonably happy with it, you can still see the marks in some angles. Now Ive got a big night ahead of me to mount everything, I did make the most of last night & got to work on all the small detail stuff. Before Clearcoat This is pretty much the worst angle with it catching the light, I can live with that. (its not overly feasable to strip & repaint with 1 day to go & I dont have any extra decals...) Got the front & rear bumpers pieced together Big night ahead, wish me luck! Ash
  23. Awesome build! The Photoetched brakes are a massive improvement over the painted silver ones in the box. Every time I see the Pearl White Convertible I want one! I too am a tad intimidated by the sheer size & number of parts, but I must make more of a start on my Matte Black one
  24. Cheers, Love the user name!! Very True! Had a bit of a nightmare last night. I left it upside down after gluing the windows in, on one of those non slip mats. It was a hot day yesterday & the clearcoat is Alclad which is very soft & i guess the 2 decided to stick together...
