  10. Yeah pretty sink what they did, I found his build thread online & all the comments regarding Universal stealing his idea, he didnt seem to bothered about it, more flattered. Imitation is the best form of flattery after all... Love what your doing, Ive got the same transkit, will be following this for sure!
  11. Just got the same kit over the weekend, looking forward to your build. But if your wanting to superdetail it, Id suggest you pick up Tamiyas Version. Its much better than Revells & the doors open too. Paul Scadden - If you come along to our next meeting hopefully there will be my LaFerrari for your inspiration sitting on the table...
  12. Awesome!!! Love all the mods youve done to it! I'm surprised that Toyota didnt release the 86 open concept they did, & havent seen anyone chop the roof off a 1:1 yet.

  16. I Had no idea that Nissan ever produced a 300zx convertible, until a mate of mine had a vintage Tamiya kit for sale, I was shocked that it was a convertible & that there was even a kit for it!!! Bring back the Tamiya of the 90s!!!! Was a pretty decent kit, all new moldings, even the engine was the correct non turbo version! Tamiya did a good job, not just reusing the Targa T tops spruces. I painted mine Zero Ferrari Giallo Triplo Strato, came out looking amazing! Photos dont do this type of paint justice. I changed the wheels to Asohima SSR Professer SP3 wheels & painted the centres Semi gloss black. Came with the VIP angled tires, so was a bit of work to get the right stance & height. I wanted a showy look, so chromed parts of the engine & modified the exhaust for a better look. Overall pretty happy with the result. The Decals were pretty past it, the ones on the back are in multiple pieces as they cracked going into water & wouldn't move once on the body. so not too stoked about that, & the bonnets not seated very well in the photos Cheers for Looking Couple of pics in direct Sunlight Ash
