  1. Could be a preventative measure, we both know what kinds of idiots drive around here, that could help reduce the chances of her bus being hit by one who already has a hard time seeing a gigantic yellow truck sitting at the side of the road.
  2. I don't live too far from Harry, believe me, there are plenty of idiots to go around for ALL of us on here............
  3. I'm begining to think that the use of these tip jars is so these employees don't have to get paid as much by their employers.
  4. Hey Harry, is that child Autistic by chance? I've seen and heard of autistic kids that can be difficult to work with.
  5. I think we have to here in Illinois unless it's divided by large barricades or walls, but even when divided by undersized curbing, I'd prefer to give room for just such an occasion, no matter what type of emergency vehicle it is.
  6. I was on my way into work today and saw a firetruck was heading towards me on a devided 4 lane, so I pulled over, as did the driver of a late model Civic who was behind me. As the firetruck passed going the opposite direction, an Econoline and Camry passed myself and the Civic, with the van just a couple feet off our mirrors! The firetruck driver blew his horn at them as they passed, but I doubt it did much good.
  7. Not a horrifying display of welding or anything like that, but I wouldn't mind seeing what happens if this backfired!
  8. This, plus having worked retail and running registers for as long as I have, I can usually be in and out in no time unless I'm writing a check........and even then...........
  9. My Telluride survived a part of it's intended purpose today, being played with by the 3 year old my sister babysits!
  10. http://safr.kingfeatures.com/idn/test/zone/xml/content.php?file=aHR0cDovL3NhZnIua2luZ2ZlYXR1cmVzLmNvbS9SZXRhaWwvMjAxNC8wOC9SZXRhaWxfbnRiLjIwMTQwODE3XzkwMC5naWY=
  11. Should be the -7 that has been reissued off and on since then.
  12. Found this still from the show with the Jeep. Looks like is was a CJ-5 instead of a -7 used for the show. May have some old school chopping done to make it look like a CJ-7.
  13. Wasn't the Mirthmobile, kinda surprised you didn't see it, it was heading your way on Rt. 59 when I last saw it.
  14. Saw an old pale blue and pink Pacer after work tonight.
  15. It was pretty much like that in Iowa when I was growing up, always seemed strange when we went back for Memorial Weekend and my cousins were already out of school for the summer, yet here in the Chicagoland area, we usually started in late August and didn't finish until early June.
  16. Lol, I was talking to a mom today who can't wait for it to start again, her kid is costing her a good bit of money in R/C parts
  17. Why not, the Monkee Mobile diecast reissue was brought back out just months after Davey Jones passed.
  18. Usually stuff like that screws over all enthusiasts, hopefully this will be more targeted and have some specifics as to what can be ticketed for. A little black smoke under accelleration isn't bad, but there needs to be something in the law to keep the "I'll know when I see it" enforcement from happening.
  19. Is that thing running all terrain tires?!
  20. I meant not having an issue with writting a bill to curtail coal rolling.
  21. Well Art, that would be an advantage to basing it on a kit of the standard, stepside truck, might just have to tool up the 2dr wagon quarters for it if the more basic truck cabs used the same chrome trim. Basically like AMT did with their '55 Stepside/Cameo kits. Looks like the cab was the same, just different front sheetmetal for each model year.
  22. Not surprised that somebody is doing this..........sadly, I'm not exactly upset by it. https://autos.yahoo.com/news/could-rolling-coal-become-illegal-nj-downside-diesel-123450102.html
  23. Yup, and if memory serves, a standard truck as well as these trucks could probably all based off the same basic tooling! Just change out the cab and bedside tooling between these and the standard trucks, as well as the different body styles.
  24. Well, considering he was at a track he doesn't race at on a regular basis, not knowing the locals all that well, and just killed somebody who appears to be a young, fairly well known local driver in a "racing incident" (which looked a lot like when somebody walks infront of a train and gets hit at a train station, btw), I'd probably want to lock my car and driver up until the police got there if I were the crew chief incase there were any thoughts of physical retaliation. Some else is that if you kill somebody or worse, multiple people in that manner (going back to the train thing), that takes a mental toll on the people operating the equipment, it's kind of a surprise you don't see more railroad engineers with alcohol problems.
