Hallmark is already peddling their ornaments via their TV channel.

Funny how that works, huh?

Or at least let us get through Halloween before putting that stuff out, any time after that should be fair game.

Mustang "Shorty"
Joe Handley replied to gbdolfans's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Hmmmmm, that Mustang does look good though, is it also a reskinned Datsun Z car? -
Any links to that review by chance?

1965 Plymouth Hits a Tree
Joe Handley replied to 1930fordpickup's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I guess if this was considered survivable, who knows........ Found a news story to go with it! http://newsfirst.lk/english/2014/07/china-crash-victims-miraculously-survive-car-crushed-flat-lorrys-load-pics/46361 -
Very strong...........

Different meaning for the same word, why the reviewer thought that is anybody's guess........not sure I want to know why they thought that........might have been some sort if ignorant phobia...........

YES, actually a few days ago at work, a young girl about that age grabbed a new Excell brand knife with purple plastic cap off the display by the register and by the time her Mom and I realized what she was doing, had the cap off! Luckily Mom got her to put the cap back on over the fresh, sharp, new blade and had it back in the display quickly!

"Also what do you mean, cruising the place?" I think that this reviewer was accusing all of those guys of being gay and/or pedophiles looking for "companionship".

No, if a teen is spending that kind of money in a hobby shop, it's some sort of R/C product, be it a new vehicle, or parts to repair or modify what they already own.

That just makes you wonder about what kind of person would write that sort of thing and their own perversions, biases, and/or general mentality. edit: People like that to make me nervous about going and running my trucks in public parks alone. I sometimes worry someone might see my pistol style controller as a "weapon", or think I'm trying to "lure kids" in with whatever truck I'm using there, or destroying the environment with it (even though I'm running some sort of crawler, which does less damage than the average toddler, not to mention I'm constantly picking up and throwing out garbage left by people fishing and/or picnicing.....) Probably a good thing I haven't jumped on the multirotor R/C bandwagon yet, not sure how I would deal with the paranoid freaks those tend to bring out of the woodwork.

I think that other than Callium's Mercedes and Astin, Dir. Vance's Yukon, Kedsie's SRX, the current Chargers, the old FWD's, Ducky's ME vans, and Dinozo's last Caddy, the rest of the NCIS cars could be had from existing tooling! Should be interesting to see what's used on the new New Orleans spinoff for cars though.

Price will get better as the parts availability, production techniques, and numbers improve, just like with anything else, it just has to get there. Range will improve as new forms of efficeny are discovered and added, plus with improvements in battery and charging tech too. From my experience with owning a flex fuel vehicle, charging stations will likely be the biggest obstical. You have to have people interested in building places (I give Musk lots of credit for that!), as well as taking efforts to deal with opposing parties (oil companies for example) on the construction of such places. If I had the money or knew the people, I would look into doing an alternative fuel "gas station" that covered the biofuels, ev charging, and alternaive petrolium fuels. I number of those along the major corridors and in urban centers could go a long way to countering those issues for all of us that own these sorts of vehicles.

Could that possibly be a tie in to the TV Series "Motive", by chance? The female detective on the show has one as her daily driver and lets her son drag race it at a nearby strip.......where she proudly watches him do a burn out then take down an early SN95 body Mustang with it

Haven't left for work yet, I'll get back to you around 6 or so tonight

I usually try to wait until I'm at a stop light, still ticketable, butbat least the car is sitting still!

Supposedly OBD3 was supposed to include such capabilities as far back as the mid-late 90's, but was primarily for emissions control purposes, but could be used for the rest. IIRC, Detroit and the ACLU had both been fighting that at the time too. I seem to even remeber some talk of states looking into cell phone tower pings to deturmine traffice flow and speeds, and then even for writing tickets based on how fast your phone is traveling through a given area.in comparison to the posted limits and the only way to get around that is to have a cell phone you can pull the battery out of. Of course now we're given the option, to some extent, by insurance companies, under the guise of "cheaper insurance rates"...............please tell me I'm not the only one who thinks that reasoning is bull.........

Didn't need to worry about speed traps tonight after work, plenty of sunday drivers got out of the house tonight and were clogging up traffic flow., especially when you got one who might be doing speedlimit in the passing lane while the one in the passed lane was running close enough to the other car that you can pass either one of them.........got a dirty look the latter tonight......
