  1. I doubt there would be much Donk interest in the kit, but I can zee the Lowrider, drag, and maybe the dirt oval guys getting into them. This one however, is my favorite
  2. If I'm reading that right, they were making the parts to Henry's specs, but he refused to listen to suggestions that would make the product better. Gotta admit that would get highly aggrevating, especially depending on his reasons for refusing the improvements.
  3. I'm not sure what us uglier, the Prado or the Shuttle?!
  4. From what I've heard, it probably wouldn't have been as high a quality as the Alliance was.
  5. Part of the problem too is marketshare and the off chance of people wanting that ability, not as many Mopars on the roads as there are of any of the competing vehicles or of it's a not typically modded vehicle (like minivans), then if they're more difficult to hack on top of that, the manufacturers of these programmers may just figure it's not worth bothering to do so. Then you have the guys that are just too cheap to buy parts to mod vehicles too, I've heard Banks developed a turbo kit for the 4.0l XJ Cherokees to match their 4.0l TJ Wrangler kit, but chose not to produce it because most guys who mod Cherokees have built their own from junkyard parts or are too dang cheap to even do that. Same thing happened with the Sprintex Supercharger for the XJ, they made a handful for development purposes, but found there was no market for them and decided not to make them, but still do for the TJ and JK. Kinda leaves guys like me out because I'd rather have a source of prefabricated parts, if not a full kit than have to figure out what all needs to be done to make it work, then learn the skills to aftually make it happen.
  6. If they lock that car and engine down like did many of the Pentastar equipped vehicles, it could take some time to at least get a programmer made for it. The Avenger and 200 first got that motor in '11, but Diablosport didn't get a program to market until earlier this year. They were able to cook them up quicker for the Wrangler, Challenger, Charger, and 300, but those were going to be more popular with people who would mod the 3.6 vs the 200/Avenger and especially the Minivans and Journey.
  7. Well, the '82 Camaro could likely have been far superior, I've also heard that the preproduction '83 Vettes were so horribly bad that GM just decided not to produce an '83 model year car.
  8. I read a lot of the same stuff in high school about Ford and as a person, both in the business and personal life, he sounded pretty despicable. Wouldn't be surprised if Edsel's death at a fairly young age had something to do with his father's behavior, as well as why "The Deuce" (which could go a couple ways in describing him) acted the way he did too.
  9. I'd rather have this instead. Or even this.
  10. I ain't complainin'!
  11. IIRC, not only could his workers afford the cars they built, but it helped hold off unionization (he despised unions almost as much as he did Jewish people!), and most importantly, it reduced production costs because fewer people left for "greener pastures" and they weren't constantly training new people, which adds cost to vehicle production.
  12. Yup, think we still have some of those at work, IIRC
  13. Turns out my phone has a number blocking feature, so I made use of that the other day and it's kinda nice and quiet now. A friend sent me a text this afternoon and when we finally slowed down enough to look, every one of the blocked numbers popped up as being blocked within the few hours between the time I got to work and got the chance go check the phone!
  14. Looks like they did a fantastic job on it!
  15. Lol, that is true, it does seem to be about 5/4 to 4/3 the size of the originals, and the Countryman CUV sure doesn't help that any. You are right on the Porsche like traits on the New, New Beetle, some of it could be that the huge tail lights that are more modern Porsche looking.
  16. Well, this is going to be a 2015, retro is neat, but it's time to move forward.
  17. I actually met the owner of the Charger used for that ProModeler kit at least 15 years ago at an all Mopar car show. At the time he was still pretty mad at RMX over that screw up. When they originally measured the car, it was during the more vintage car friendly weather, but when he got the call that they needed to remeasure the car, it was November and he had already put it up for the season as well as took the full coverage off of it for the season. He had to drag it out with only partial insurance coverage to their facility for the measurements while they all stood out in a parking lot on a cold, grey November day in Chicago. Apparently the guys from RMX that were redoing their work were also kinda mad, as they too were stuck out in those conditions.
  18. I like the new look personally. Still screams Mustang more than the Fox bodies did, yet isn't the insult to the name that the II's were.
  19. I have to agree, the overall shape is more like the originals, but also looks like one that has seen some customizing too.
  20. Notice he's a Cubs fan too
  21. At this point when it comes to finding stuff on the internet, I'm almost impressed to see European, bought, or even company spelled right............
  22. "Not only can Challenger run 10s on the drag strip, but you can also fit your family and drive cross country." Um.........judging by the R/T Classic just bought by my sister, that would have to be a small as in young family!
  23. Well, we might be getting a cold spell next week and this is Chicago.........never count anything out!
