I remember those posters, and the product, biiiiig boxes we unloaded from the trailers and then from the storeroom into/onto/around customer's cars!

I know some malls are starting to install them, not sure if they're free for shopping at the mall or if you have to pay to use them though, I was kinda surprised to find that they're almost more prolific around here that gas stations that sell E85 as well.

Kinda surprised by that too Harry, I've seen quite a few around here.......maybe you should stop by the store more often ( ) since I seem to have had the majority of my sightings running too or from work! I Have found that they do look a but Audi-ish from the back, but the front of them is very distinctive once you know what you're looking at and the sides aren't much less so than the nose. I do think the roofline is cleaner than the Panamera and Rapide 4dr hatches.

Well, it is the rolling equivalent of an appliance, it fits that bill just as if it were a fridge, stove, or toaster.

Depends on where you're at, I've seen several around work, but considering the wealth around that area, it's not a shock. Kinda surprised that there aren't more using that Supercharger station could be that they do have a good range, even with the little battery for any of the more locally owned cars that charge at home.

Passed a deer in not much better of shape (looked fresh) on my way home from work tonight. Other than that, a new Tesla I haven't seen before, a couple SRT Jeeps, a G8, and some late model Camaros, that's it.

Have a customer at work that bought a Passat Wagon used from a VW dealer not far from my home think it would make a nice, reliable, retired man's car..........and he then proceeded to drop about that much with the dealer to make it work right within a month or two of the car's purchase!

I'd definately put one of those wagon kits off to the side for myself at work if there were one to become available! Same with the Cheetah, heck, if Tamiya were to revise their M-06 chassis and offer an R/C Cheetah, I would immediately have one on order!

Problem with the Manta Ray (and really most of the cars shown) is that while it is really cool, not that many people know what it is any more. With the exception of the Starsky and Hutch Torino, you'd probably be better off making a kit of the Edsel Wagon from the Doctor Who episode where the Doctor was "killed" by Dr. River Song.

Originally I would have said it was because the world just doesn't have enough Depression Era Fords, Tri-5 Chevys, or '69 Camaro kits available yet and those are far more important to bring more mundain kits to market first............... I agree with the Cheetah, however it should be possible to build the rest with some kit bashing and aftermarket parts and decals. I would rather see more truely rarely kitted subjects being newly kitted or reissued like the Cheetah, more modern workaday cars and trucks, as well as updating the tools of the few modern cars that do get kitted.

True, depending on where you're staying, it could be 45-60 minutes to my store. Going crawling at Busse Woods, it could take 30-45 minutes from home in West Chicago.
