  1. In some ways, I prefer my FWD/V-6 Chrysler 200 sedan over a V-6 or V-8/RWD "muscle" car like the Challenger R/T and Charger SE my Sister has purchased. just from the Daily Driver point of view. Enough power to walk all over the V-6 Charger and shouldn't be too much slower than the Challenger, yet is nice and comfortable to drive home after a long, busy day.......and since it doesn't look like much more than something I rented from the Enterprise that keeps blocking my store with it's vans, I don't get a second look from anybody who might care what I'm up too.
  2. So is $100/bbl oil and the related costs with that as well as all the extra licensing fees.
  3. First time I've driven my Jeep in a month, and I lock my keys in it even though you can't use the power locks to lock the doors if the key is in the ignition........however, you can when you lock the door from the manual interior latch................
  4. Lol, I wouldn't put that past my new boss, he hasn't been shy about calling out r/c customers who are having issues with their cars that are more closely rated what they prefer to smoke than an actual mechanical or electrical issue.
  5. Yeah, until this mess gets straightened out, they are kinda screwed.
  6. Can't really compare a cracked VTEC spring to GM's key issue.....maybe more like the possibility of the cracked head on the Pentastars instead. It seems Toyota's run away drive by wire would be more compareable as that actually lead to people losing their lives.
  7. This was an interesting read......... http://editorial.autos.msn.com/blogs/post--lincoln-tops-satisfaction-awards-plans-revival-with-more-models
  8. I swear the "driving" public is stupid sometimes. They don't want a useful and efficent station wagon or minivan because it is what their parents had, yet they complained about the truck like behavior and mileage of SUV's like my XJ, so what do they do............they go out and buy chubby station wagons with AWD built on car or minivan platforms that have a sort of SUV like profile and only have that AWD system going for it.
  9. That hasn't been necessary so far, Shodeen's people (for some of the bad I've heard about them) will at least go after this place ASAP, they figured that this place was leaving their vans in front of us just by one of my bosses leaving a message with them yesterday and only called back to confirm that this was the issue before going after this neighbor. The thing that sucked about Sunday is that they are closed and there is nobody for the property people to call in the store............although I would call who ever manages that store front with the threat of calling a wrecker or three if he didn't find a way to get them moved even though the store is closed if this was my property. If it wasn't these being big vans, most of the other vehicles they rent out could probably be handled with a good tow strap and my Jeep. I am surprised he hasn't made some more effective threats to them when personally asking them to move and I'm sure he knows people who could help relocate the bigger vehicles if he wanted too
  10. This irks all of us at work, my boss' in particular and even customers. We're about 4 stores away from an Enterprise Rental Agency and they have an armada of 15 passenger Chevy Express and Ford Econoline vans and are always taking up the spots in front of our store with them, then when renters drop off their's after the place closes, they park them infront of our store too! By Father's Day morning, these freaking vans took up almost a couple dozen spots directly infront of the store! The store's former owner had called the property owner's people more than once as have the new ones, most recently as of this morning and this is enough of a problem that they knew what it was without being told and automatically called place to tell them to move the danged vans! Half the mall is empty and there are plenty of places to drydock those vans where they won't block the parking of the storefronts in use, but they always park them right infront of us!
  11. I wonder if there is a market for a personal luxury coupe too, even if it was mid sized, I think a 2015 200 or what ever the Fusion based Lincoln is would make decent looking coupes and maybe even convertables as would the Caddy ATS.
  12. I thought a couple of those comments looked kinda familiar!
  13. Uhg, that's just what we need, another freakin' cross over, maybe they should focus on another big sedan to compete with the 300 and the new Caddy that was mentioned in the comments.
  14. Common sense would dictate that not having to fix a part via recall and/or warranty would be worth the extra cost of a sturdier piece due to repeat business from satisfied customers, but you never know what these corporate accountants or the management are thinking.
  15. They just have to have them made, ship them to the dealers, and maybe have techs set aside for the work. One of the guys on R/C Crawler ended up being theee Tacoma Frame Swap guy at the Toyota dealer he worked at since he did it so much that he was quick at it.
  16. Just saw this on an Avenger owners forum (the sibling to my 200) I already had the lifetime extended warranty on the car, not going to complain about it though
  17. Sad part is, the rc car tire superglue works the same way, I actually glued a monster truck tire to my gut through a favorite White Sox shirt that way.......still torqued off by that.
  18. I still miss my '85 Lebaron GTS because of that, they a decent sized turbo and fairly aggressive factory cam in those motors through '86 or '87. Even with the 3 speed auto, that car could scare the daylights out of people who didn't know what it was capable of One advantage of that power in the Mustang though, don't have to worry about torque steer in a RWD chassis.
  19. Oh, ain't this the truth!
  20. Dang that's pricey, think I'll stick with my sub $2.00 Frozen Cokes from 7-11!
  21. This is how Harry, although it comes with the new car purchase, my Jeep would cost 3x that much there.
  22. Depends on who's doing the oil change, the dealer we've bought out last 3 Mopars at has a separate station to change the oil on 3 cars at a time, but is staffed with employees that are more.........."youthful" ......than I. I only pay $11 before tax for an oil change, but I'm sure these guys are making minimum wage or close to it. When I had my 200 in for it's last change, they accidentally put the wrong oil in it and I ended up with a free engine flush too...........too bad it was my now 26k mile 200 and not my 160k+ '98 Cherokee............
  23. I think the prototype's entire front end looked better!
  24. For me on the Vette, I like most of the convertable and the coupe, but the rear bumper on both and the roof on the coupe kill it for me.
