  1. This, the Tumbler was a real vehicle that could perform on command when it came time to get it on!
  2. I loved the Tumbler, at least it doesn't look like it should be like those two Post-Keaton/Pre-Bale Batmobiles!
  3. Or storms, got to drive from St. Charles to West Chicago, then on to Westmont in one yesterday.
  4. You need to put the wash over the primer, then paint over both. The wash should tint the paint to a darker tone of the same color and give the gap some depth like you would see with a 1/1 car that has the jabs painted the same color as the outside of the car.
  5. WWWWeeeeeellllllll, the real one's a Japanese truck with a bad Chevy Truck front end. IIRC, Isuzu is the company that GM had design the truck.
  6. Wonder how it would run with the RWD version of the 3.6l in your new Impala.
  7. Considering that's on salt, I wouldn't want to lay that bike down!
  8. I could live with the cage, but the car would have to be a bit longer and wider and the cage would have to as well............wonder how it would look with a period Caddy V-8 in it?
  9. Well, I guess I'll continue with mine then.......... Once I get the folks and the house squared away, I'd pay off my Sister's bills and get her a Black Hemi Challenger like she wants, and maybe a house for her and her boyfriend. I'd take care of all of my bills, fix up my XJ, hot rod my '12 200 Touring, maybe try and find a clean '11-'14 200 Limited Hardtop Convert in Blackberry Pearl to build into a mild custom (bag it, shave the handles, ect), and buy a new Cherokee Trailhawk for a winter driver. I also try and get a warehouse for a shop. Then I would probably go overboard on buying models and R/Cs...................
  10. Do what ever it takes to take care of my folks, that would be #1! Also have some needed work done on their house plus to some of the efficency and other energy related upgrades.
  11. The Pentastar? It's now standard or available under the hood of everything but the Dart
  12. In the case of the Omni GLH/GLHS, the only Toyotas or Datsun/Nissan that they wouldn't eat alive would have been the Supras and 300zx, and even then, it would have been a close fight and even the then current Ponycars weren't safe from the GLHS.
  13. Why in the world would you put a little motor like that in a car that heavy?!
  14. HMMMMMM,.Gremlin, Chevette, and Pinto are all RWD while the Horizon is the nearly identical twin of the Omni.........which with a turbocharged 2.2/2.5l 4 cylinder and some of the goodies Caroll Shelby put on his versions of the Omni can make for some wicked little pocket rockets.
  15. Depends on if your diesel is based on Crude Oil or Fast Food Fryer Grease. Could smell like a big rig, or a McDonalds
  16. More like if it will, somehow I doubt it will pass our safety rules, even if it uses a GM D-Max for power and is found to be clean enough.
  17. 6.6l turbodiesel V-8...................will this be a modern Anglo-American sports car?
  18. Eh, no thanks. That's almost as ugly as the brown Volt I passed in St. Charles today. LOL, I'll take that as a yes then
  19. I take it you've seen those Harley's running around here too Harry?
  20. I think I would have gone black or a metallic or pearl dark blue or even a gunmetal gray if I was going to do something other than red. White just seems to hide a lot of details on that car that having light reflecting off the darker colors should accent them without striping them.
  21. Those are a couple of the reasons I bought a Chrysler 200 with the Pentastar V-6 too, the car should weigh just under 3600 pounds for the Touring like I have and the version of that V-6 in my car makes 283hp vs the same car with the 170hp 4 cyl. (although that does weight closer to 3400lbs).
  22. I do like the looks of these new Impalas, especially in darker colors. I hear GM's 3.6l V-6 is a pretty healthy little engine too
  23. Ain't that the truth Danno, had a lying idiot of a assistant manager that I worked with at Toy's "R" Us ended up going to the Carmax I bought my Jeep from, he was one those who it amazed me he could figure out how to drive his own vehicles at times.......... Also had a friend tell me his Dad was at a Ford Dealer and happened to be looking at a SN95 body Mustang that was on the sales floor when a salesman decided to try and sell it to him, part of the attempt included him telling my friend's Dad it was powered by an Inline V-6...............
